you can be a lesbian and like nonbinary people. but it doesn’t suddenly make those nonbinary people women. hope this helps
Same with gay men. I know it might not always be easy, but try to remember that your enby partners aren't men just because they have the parts you like.
It amazes me the ethical gymnastics people are going through to justify their excitement for Hogwarts Legacy.
If you want to keep buying Harry Potter shit, that’s fine. It’s your money. Just know that by doing so, you are supporting JK Rowling and her TERF brand. Also please be aware that your LGBT friends will take note this. There’s no half way points here. Either you support us or you don’t. You can’t say you’re pro-trans only to then buy a Harry Potter video game and start making excuses. All that says to me is that you only care about the LGBT community so much until it suddenly becomes inconvenient for you.
That’s what pisses me off about this ‘death of the author’ crap. JK Rowling isn’t a long dead writer with a checkered past. She’s a still living author who continues to make money from her work and has a lot of power and influence as a result. The only way to counteract that is to stop buying her shit. It’s a simple as that.
And for the record, no, the developers won’t get paid more money if the game is successful. They’ve already been paid. The money will only get funnelled upwards. That’s how the AAA game industry works.
I’m sorry, but if you truly want to support us and take Rowling down a peg or two, you can’t buy Hogwarts Legacy.
Also JK Rowling literally uses her vast fortune and the money we keep filtering into her bank account to support and prop up anti-trans politicians and rhetoric in the UK
This is the same thing with Chick-fil-A using their money to support anti-LGBT+ conversion camps and policies. She is literally using her cash to make life in the UK worse for trans people. This isn't just she's saying bad things on Twitter, she's physically funding and propping up politicans and organizations which explicitly support anti-trans policies.
So remember whenever you spend money on anything Harry Potter related there is a straight line from your money to policies which will make life worse for trans people
YES HELLO THIS IS A THING WATCH IT PLZ
This tea burned my house down
This is brilliant, and provides a delightful response to the garbage response to calling people by their preferred name and using their preferred pronouns.

Did I do this meme thing right?
Straight couple: *kissing*
Y’all: um wow can you not cause uh gays exist homophobe >:(
Gay people live in constant fear that any form of PDA may lead to their untimely death. In some cases, it has. Yet, I watch straight people bump and grind eachother at prom and…nobody says anything. I’ve watched straight people play tonsil hockey on the train and…nobody says anything. I held my boyfriend’s hand once… and someone asked me to stop because “There are kids here.”
I think making a little nihilistic joke is fine.
My boyfriend and I have been called f*gs or f****ts, from a van driving on the other side of the road, from a man passing us in the street, when we kissed on the bus once and more and it makes it difficult to carry on having that level of intimacy (holding hands and kissing) in public because the next one might not just shout at you, they might actually want to hurt you. So yeah, let us make a joke at the expense of straight people 🤷
shhh! it was supposed to be a secret
