Normally, I reserve #time for a treat for happy or at least neutral moments, but this moment really got to me.

Roberto stress-eating, because he’s thirteen, only a baby, and he’s been through so much. It’s a very human moment and him eating his feelings is such a relatable coping method that I would love to see portrayed more in comics!

(Scott Summers and Kyle Rayner are the only two other characters I can recall being depicted stress/binge eating, and that being shown in a compassionate light!)

I don’t mind answering at all! I’m enrolled cherokee, and have Sac and Fox descendency, alongside Yuchi. My dad’s side are wholly cherokee with half being early settlers who left North Carolina pre forced removal, and the other half are Trail of Tears survivors. Several ancestors had Yuchi spouses but the language effectively died when I was still a little girl and I wasn’t raised in the culture. My maternal granny is also cherokee!

For the Sac and Fox, I’m Sauk specifically of the two. I’m a recognized descendent while my late great granny and my papa are enrolled bc of blood quantum. My little granny was a medicine woman and I still have her umbilical cord medicine pouch! I do not speak Sauk (I’ve tried learning since I was little, thâkiwâtowêweni is just so fucking hard bros), but the whole reason I do jingle is because of my Sauk side, and I do have family mink pelts and bear claws for my regalia.
