    “No problem. If the tea is good, why wouldn’t I share it with somebody else? I’m not that selfish.” The doll wasn’t really surprised that he didn’t seem to include himself in the human category. If he was human, he wouldn’t have reacted so calmly to a living doll.

“It was surprising to me.. only because I do not.. interact with many on the selfless side.” Himself included- he could be rather unpleasant and selfish when he wanted to be, but didn’t feel the need to mention this.

   “Really? If you stayed here, you wouldn’t interact with many more selfless people either. My servants are pretty selfish creatures.”

   The doll had no idea of what to say. His story sounded  a lot like something she would read in a book or a case from detective Kun-Kun.

   “That all sounds incredible, not in a good way though.”

   One of the things that stuck out from what he had said was the last sentence to come out of his mouth. A thousand years? That meant he was even older than Father. Of course, it also meant that he couldn’t be either a human or a living doll, since they don’t live that long. Actually, now that she pondered better about it, what exactly was he?

    “If you try and rush up making tea, chances are that you’ll mess up. The tea will taste like nothing at all if the leaves don’t open, and nobody wants flavourless tea, you know?”

“Humans and the like… have always struck me as overly hasty.” Dark commented as he took the last sip of his tea, setting the cup down next to the doll. “Thank you for sharing your tea with me, by the way.”

115 remembered that there were things similar like this before regarding magic bringing the inanimate to life with limited intelligence, but this doll seemed to have greater intelligence than the standard golem or anything similar to that. “Your creator must have been exceptional with magic as well as craftsmanship because your showing far more intelligence than the basic golem. Most of them aren’t able to speak while being able understanding some basic language. Do you know the name of who built you?”

    “We don’t have a name, we just call him Father. I never spent too much time with him, at least not nearly as much as I would want to, so I have no idea of how he created the Rosa Mystica.”

    If the doll were to be completely honest, she didn’t quite understand the Rosa Mystica in itself either. She knew it was what gave them life and what guided their artificial spirits, but she was oblivious as to what it was exactly, or even how it was created.

“No name? Such a shame… I swear the craftsmanship that your ‘father’ used looks extremely familiar. Similar to what my daughter used to have before…” 115 trailed off. That was a sensitive topic for him given what had happened that day so many years ago. “So… I take it that there’s more like you then. Do you have the same functions as a human while alive, such as the requirement of nourishment to survive, blood, and body temperature? Do you have miniature organs too?”

    The first doll failed to hold back a small giggle at the thought of having miniature organs. Now that she pondered about it, it would make a lot of sense if they did have them, seen as they were made to be small humans.

    “We don’t have organs, blood or anything else you humans have. We don’t need to eat either, but we do need to sleep. If we are kept from doing it for too long, we will start feeling empty inside, shutting ourselves from the outside world and we might even die.”

“So lack of sleep causes decay to whatever it is that’s bringing you to life. Noted. I’m assuming that you aren’t the only one to possess this… ‘Rosa Mystica’ which brings to question… why is it that your creator brought you and your assumed… ‘siblings’ to life?” 115 asked, pulling a flash out of his jacket. He opened it quickly, taking a sip from the liquor he had been keeping inside.

“Also despite my apperence… I’m not human; though I am an organic being so to speak.”

   “It’s a really long story, but, since you’re so interested, I will try and sum it all up for you. Father once had a daughter named Alice, whom he loved very much. Unfortunately she got very sick, and, without medical attention, she died. So Father created us, hoping one would come out perfect and be able to replace his dead daughter. There are more complicated stuff ahead, like the Alice Game, but that is basically why he created us.”

“I would say that your creator sounds like they might have gone partially insane with the loss of their daughter but… I’ve got no room to talk about going mad over the loss of others. It also sounds like that this ‘game’ you and your ‘siblings’ were created for is a death match to decide who’s the most worthy to act as a replacement. I believe, however, that you are all free to choose your own destiny and purpose. Neither you or your siblings are puppets to fulfill the destruction of yourselves if you choose to do otherwise.” 115 let out a sigh, leaning back into the couch. “I guess I owe an explanation as to why I’m here though.”

    “I thought you weren’t going to mention it again to be completely honest, but now that you do yes I’m curious. It’s not often that I have company here, and I don’t think it’s right either for me to be the only one talking about myself.” The doll crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for an explanation. Secretly, she was happy to change the subject from her an her sisters to something else less personal to her.

    In the dead silence of the presumably abandoned house, a shadow could be seen walking up the stairs. Most likely a stranger, either looking for a place to stay the night, or looking for one of the ocasional lost footballs that broke one of the house’s remaining windows.

    Not thinking that it might scare the stranger out, the fourth doll walked up behind him, her footsteps too small to be heard. “Can I be of assistance?”

The boy had simply thought of exploring the house, he had seen it many times before, and had believed it was abandoned. He also believed some plants may be growing in a decaying roof and was searching for any sort of attic for him to get into.

What he found instead was a someone else in the house. The shadow was only such due to the black cloak he wore. However, the fifteen year old was anything but a shadow, he was a child. “I-I’m sorry, I-I-I didn’t know th-there was s-s-someone still h-here, I didn’t mean t-t-to trespass.” He spoke, clearly scared.

   The fourth doll stared up at him with a somewhat stern look on her face. She couldn’t understand why he sounded so scared of her, after all, she didn’t think she looked that scary.

   “I don’t mind you trespassing, but you should be careful. The house is old and some of the floor boards are rotten. If you step on any of those, you’ll end up on the floor below.” And most probably very hurt… The doll left the final part unsaid, not wanting to scare him even more. As for her, she didn’t really need to worry, she was half the size of a normal human and not nearly as heavy, so it was sure that the wooden floor wouldn’t collapse with her.

The boy wasn’t scared, well, more surprised. As if he had thought he saw. Ghost, instead, he would see a girl far smaller than even him. And he thought he was short. He’d kneel down so as to talk eye to cloak with the doll, covering his apperance with that black hood.

“I’m sorry, I d-didn’t mean to trespass. A-And, I don’t think th-the floor boards are th-that bad, are they?” He asked, moving his feet a little under him. He understood they could get hurt. However he was extrodinarily thin, and didn’t think he had a lot of weight to his person.

But if both of them stood near each other on rotten wood, wouldn’t that leave the possibility of dropping through open to them?

   “I was merely offering advice, but you can choose to ignore it. I wouldn’t do that if I were you though.” The doll had already been in contact with other humans before, and their tendency to break the rules they were given was nothing new to her.

    “If after all of that you still decide to walk around anyway, I promise to do my best at taking care of your injuries.” Even giving her best, the doll wouldn’t do nearly as good of a job as another human would. She had never gotten hurt, nor did she have the ability to get hurt the same way humans do, so her knowledge in the matter was very limited.

“I-I’m not saying I’m n-not taking your advice. I-I was just asking h-how bad it really w-was. It, didn’t seem a-all too deciving to m-me.” He replied, lightly standing on the floor board. He didn’t mean to be rude, especially in another person’s home like this, he was just asking a question more than anything, and here he was basically saying ‘no! The floor boards aren’t rotten.’

At her next sentence, the boy simply shook his head and rose his hands. “That won’t be n-neccesary, I’ll just head o-off now, I don’t w-want to be in y-your hair after all.” He replied, starting to look around for his exit.

   The doll smiled at his response, seeing that he seemed to be willing to follow her advice. The last thing she wanted at the moment was an injured person and a broken floor.

   “You should exit through the back door in the kitchen, seen as the floor there is made of tiles and not wood and will not break as easily. If you want I will help you find it, if you want of course.”

115 remembered that there were things similar like this before regarding magic bringing the inanimate to life with limited intelligence, but this doll seemed to have greater intelligence than the standard golem or anything similar to that. “Your creator must have been exceptional with magic as well as craftsmanship because your showing far more intelligence than the basic golem. Most of them aren’t able to speak while being able understanding some basic language. Do you know the name of who built you?”

       The doll let out a small sigh as the memory of the tasteless tea they used to serve resurfaced.

“..I see.” Was all he responded with at first, before taking another very small sip. It was agony to try and consume things, but he enjoyed it as well. 

“I suppose they… are merely in a rush. But… tea doesn’t seem like something…. you can rush, at all.”

    “I guess...” For a split second a sad expression could be seen in the smaller doll’s face, but, not wanting to seem weak, she quickly masked it by changing the subject.

     “As I was going to say earlier, some of my sisters are useful to have around, especially if they know how to make tea.”

     The thought of her past encounters with some of her so called sisters almost made her cringe, but she refrained from doing so as it went against her royal like personality.

“it must..be rough..then if..you and your..sisters dont..get along so..well..the ones..that you seem..to have a dislike for..” she said and she lightly stared at the other doll, whatever the other girls were like, some may be rather difficult to be around especially if Shinku spoke like that. 

“What..is your..father like..?”

    Shinku placed her tea cup on the table, the corners of her mouth curling up into a smile at the mention of her “father”.

     “Father is the kindest man I know. He took care of us until we were ready to be given away. Father’s also really smart, he had to be to be able to create us.”

“Sounds like..you really love..your father a lot..” she said noticing the small smile the other doll had on her face, who knew that she could smile, seeing as how the way she behaved seemed to suggest that she was a little distant. But seeing her smile was a nice fresh air to her.

“What did..you do with..father..before you were..given away..?”

115′s expression remained neutral despite the doll flying up to his face. He kept his eyes on the small figure. “So… how is it that your alive? In my experience, it’s usually a ghost or demon clinging to the object for some reason.”

    “I don’t have a demon inside of me, at least that I know of. I do have a Rosa Mystica that I’m sure it’s the answer to your question.”

    The doll wasn’t surprised that he had no idea about the Rozen Maiden, since they lived hidden from the rest of the world now.

“I see… so you are powered by some form of magic.” 115 leaned forward carefully, inspecting the doll. “Whoever crafted you is exceptional. You look entirely human even from close distance. Who was it that created you?”

     The first doll grinned at his remark. Truth be told, she knew most people would confuse her and the other dolls for human if it wasn’t for their small size.

      “Father created me and the other Rozen Maiden. He’s a very skilled doll maker, but I think you already noticed that.” She decided to keep her answer as simple as possible, mostly because there wasn’t much known about her creator.

      The creak of a door could be heard in the living room as the doll peeked around her house trying to figure out where the footsteps she was hearing were coming from.

      “Who is there?”

115 had been dealing with a long day of the stressful routine of killing and people trying to kill him. He had thought that the house he was relaxing in had been abandoned for some time now until he heard the door creak. The project sat up quickly, spotting the small figure. “… Well that’s something straight out of the horror movies. I thought this place was abandoned.”
