For my next quarantine project, I will be fixing a GameCube that has trouble reading disks. I originally bought this GameCube a few months back as a piece to add to my Metal Gear collection. When it finally arrived, I discovered it couldn’t read disks. After trying to mess with it for awhile, it finally started to read disks. After extensive testing, I discovered it will read disks only after sitting for 10-15 mins powered on. A few weeks later, I got the screwdriver I needed to open it up, adjusted the potentiometer and viola, it works with little to no issues! I’ve been tinkering more lately during quarantine. Finding ways to mod or improve my gadgets and such. I just finished modding an old GameBoy Color that I salvaged from a friend. Had to replace the speaker, then I replaced the shell and installed a backlit LCD screen. This little guy is better than ever!
