Here is the rest of the Royce Piedmont Hunger Games. I kinda lost track of it, so I decided to just post the rest to read at your own pace. There are many more exciting things to do over on the forums right now.
If you’ve been following this blog and wondering what a good place to start at Royce Piedmont would be, look no further to the upcoming Orientation for the spring 2015 semester! Sign up a new student now and learn all about the ins and outs of the school!
The newest Two-player story on Royce Piedmont is the currently earliest story in the storyline. Magic and mystery take a backseat in this prologue as two youths learn many things about each other as they both experience their earliest years of being teenagers. What is this a prologue to? Well, you’ll have to keep an eye open to find out!
Here we go with Night 3 of the Royce Piedmont Hunger Games. Slowly, but surely we will see the end of this
Day 3 of our Hunger games arrives a few days late, but they are continuing, nonetheless! Here are our current standings.
You can catch all the action on this thread http://forum.rphaven.net/viewtopic.php?f=106&t=3208
Day 2 of the RP Haven Royce Piedmont Hunger Games
Night of the first day...
Day one of the Royce Piedmont Hunger Games has completed, and there's a heaping helping of lost tributes to go around.
The Bloodbath begins in the RPHaven Hunger Games, and in it, we got our first few deaths. How delightfully morbid, indeed
The first match of the Royce Piedmont's Martial arts tournament is about to begin. The contenders are Mao Fenfang and Katryn Ounce.
Mao was created for the original Royce Piedmont roleplay back in August. She's a weretiger who has a split personality who takes over when she transforms. As a lycanthrope who cannot fully turn off her animal side, she was shunned by her family and brought to Royce Piedmont so she would have a chance to prosper.
Katryn is a Nekomimi from Eastern Europe. Her kind are a hearty people who excel in the snow and usually have ice-based powers. Katryn, however, had a troubled birth and infancy, and, as such, is quite scrawny for her kind, and has an aversion to the cold. She's quite aggressive when others see her as weak and she wants to push herself to get past her limitations and to make her people proud.
RP Haven is having itself a little Hunger Games fun. Get in on the action by voting on who you will think will win the Hunger Games, which district will be victorious, and who will win in the number of kills.
Guess on the survivors for each day and night to rack up points. See our forum for more details.
It was a crisp but comfortable winter morning as students gathered around the front of the gymnasium where a series of stadium seats had been erected around a 25 meter raised stone ring. Their anticipation having risen after having spent the last month and a half studying for final tests in the dead of winter, it was the weekend before winter break and most everyone was ready to go back to their families for a little rest and relaxation. But before then, they were all just as excited to watch fellow students duke it out in what was the annual tournament; nearly two dozen martial arts clubs set up throughout the school, as well as a few individuals seeking fame and glory for themselves duked it out to see who was the greatest fighter at Royce Piedmont. Victors not only received bragging rights and a medal, but also rights to use the largest dojo in the school for their training sessions, as well the equivalent of 1000 US dollars in prize money."Welcome, ladies, gentlemen, and contestants all!" A preppy looking young man with blonde swept back hair spoke through the audience's cheers through a microphone as he stepped up onto the stadium platform. "My name is Jacob Bolton, and I am proud to be your announcer for the SIXTEENTH ANNUAL ROYCE PIEDMONT MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT!!!" His voice echoed through the speakers circling the stadium, "It is my honor and extreme pleasure to announce our tournament judges for this evening." He took a brief pause for applause with each name. "You know her! You love her! You don't know what this school would do without her! Let's give a round of applause to our very own Vice Principal Bellatrix Bailey!" He gives a appraising wave to said Vice Principal, sitting between two men. "...He's the man with the plan, the game plan that is... The reason our soccer team has been undefeated five years running! Let's hear it for our very own Head Coach Oliver Barton!" The young man indicates to the man sitting to Miss Bailey's left, a fit but not overly muscular sandy haired gentleman in his early 40's wearing a green hooded zip up sweatshirt over a purple and black muscle shirt. "...And let's all give a very special round of applause to welcome our visiting Grand Master from the Japan branch of the International Federation of Martial Arts: Kensei Jiraroshi." Jacob gives a polite bow to the elderly man to the Vice Principal's right, dressed in a standard training gi with his white hair tied back into a top knot and a fu-manchu covering most of his mouth.
The Survival and Bestiary class field trip has begun. Read the role play as it develops at this link.
The Royce Piedmont Academy Survival and Bestiary class is a program dedicated to those with wild powers to hone their skills while learning about nature and the creatures that inhabit it. Often prescribed to those students who don't have control of their abilities, it is also available to anyone who wants to know more about survival.
If you want to join in on the roleplay, you can check out Xenotaris's Sign-up sheet located here http://forum.rphaven.net/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=3174
As Royce Piedmont is a school that collects students from around the globe, it isn't unusual that many of them are proficient in the martial arts. Over the years several dojos and training halls have opened up in the study of these martial skills around the campus. To quell the 'Spirit of Competition' that often goes hand in hand with multiple schools of combat so close to one another full of teenagers looking to prove themselves, the heads at Royce Piedmont decided that a annual tournament was to be held as a means of providing an outlet for the students to put their energy into. 1 student from each registered martial arts club was allowed to enter into the tournament, the student chosen was often done such by that particular clubs own choice of either a democratic vote or a micro-tournament to determine the best candidate (though more often than not the latter occurred as many students from the same club wanted to compete themselves). Recently the heads of Royce Piedmont have decided that individuals are permitted to enter the tournament regardless of whether or not they are affiliated with a specific martial arts club. Winners of the tournament receive a total of 200,000 Yen (Approximately 1704 US Dollars) and the Champion's Trophy. Rules: 1) No Godmoding of any kind: this includes auto-hitting, ghosting, tanking, puppeteering, chaining, or any other derision thereof. 2) While it isn't really a problem here, please refrain from OOC while in the roleplay, we have 2 chat rooms that are for that purpose. 3) You are allowed three defensive moves (one per post) when attacked which can be any combination of a dodge, a block, and a counter (counters count as both a defensive and an offensive move, so they are unavailable during a warm up / cool down period explained below). 4) After the three defensive moves are used, you are expected to take the next attack. You can choose to take an attack early if you believe that the damage incurred will be minimal. 5) Attacks can range in strength to light, medium, or heavy. Light attacks are worth 1 point and can be posted continuously, medium attacks are worth 2 points and require a warm up / cool down period of 1 non-attack post (you must either wait one turn in order to use this attack, or wait one turn after using the attack, your choice), heavy attacks are worth 3 points and require 2 warm up / cool down periods. Please note that warm up / cool down periods only mean that you cannot attack, you are still capable of using defensive moves. Please indicate which attack you are using in your post. 6) Fighters are given a total of 15 health points per round. Once a fighter loses all 15 health points, they lose the match. 7) Because this is a school where the majority of the population has abilities, powers are permitted during combat. 8) It would be unfair to force weapon users to forgo their 'extension of themselves,' so the school will provide non-lethal variants of all weapons used. 9) While the fights themselves aren't point based and are instead 'knock down, drag out', please refrain from permanently injuring or killing your opponent unless permitted by the character's creator. 10) Have fun. I will leave the number of sign ups open, you are permitted to use multiple characters for the tournament, but remember that you may have to sacrifice a few so as to avoid fighting yourself in the finals. Sign ups will close on the 18'th of February.
