Best writers on the site?
Nah we gatekeeping this cause they're wholesome peoples Unpopular Fact- The best writers on the site are actually some of the ones who you people claim are "the worst". The 30-40 something year olds that started rp in their younger days back when it began before it became an editing and popularity contest of teen and 20-somethings arguing over every little thing and starting drama over nothing are still writing and have made long lasting connections. Some of them have been around since myspace or before, put solid stable years into characters when some people barely put months or even days or a few hours sometimes, do real writing and story creation and editing, keep long term connections and LIs instead of bouncing around, and keep out of the petty drama as much as possible despite sometimes being dragged into it by others. There is nothing wrong with being a writer who's been around since then. It means they've seen the trends, been through it all, and have endured. There are some who are not the best examples of the elder generation and should have been banned or retired, but for the most part the elder gen should be looked up to as examples of how we should be, because roleplay was great back when they were the dominant generation. When the younger generation took over, it went to shit. People complaining about rp?- We did it to ourselves. Hate blogs, constant drama and infighting. They'll be known as the ones who made it great, and we'll be known as the ones who sent it up in flames and doomed it to the end. Whether you like it or not, it's the truth. Ask any one of the elder generation of writers about what it used to be like, and they'll tell you how great it was compared to the shitshow it is now. Why they stay? Who knows. We're losing more of them every day because of shit like this place, this blog, the person who runs it, the stalkers, the harassers, the drama starters. So there you go. The best writers are the ones we are chasing off as we slowly kill roleplay.

I miss them good old days, I know I am a older generation, been about 20+ years now since I first joined. I wish even I could go back to them days because at least it wasn't this bad.
I feel you on that! Started back on MySpace as a one liner then grew more confident thanks to good writers who nurtured newbies back then. Still not confident I doubt every reply but that’s a me thing 🤣 not a reflection of what I write.
I miss being able to form a long standing wp relationship, it was possible on RP.me back when it first started but nowadays profiles are much more disposal people don’t last long before they move onto the next shiny thing or they just up and delete.
If your too popular your deemed a “pick me” with no substance if you have few friends your a weirdo. You can’t win and that’s before the toxicity that some people radiate.
I will always remain as the person who doesn’t want a full friends list, I will always look for quality over quantity and the toxic people fuel that desire to stay on the edge even if it means it’s harder to find writers.
Some people make us want to be antisocial.

This says it all.
The OGs are a dying breed and should be protected.
I'd do it myself but I unfortunately lack the skill....
Someone please make a USEFUL tumblr blog. A place where we can post anonymously for stories that we're really looking for. Networking can be difficult on site, especially when everything is about visuals and aesthetics and people will judge you based off of shit they've heard about you on this hate blog or one of the dozen others over the years.
And then if someone is interested in the role or whatever, they can leave their contact information and the other person could reach out. I think the best way to handle it is if everyone made a separate Discord handle that doesn't give any character information away or anything. Gah, RPME desperately needs a fresh start with something like this because it has been on the decline and suffering a slow death for years.

I tried but got no traction …….
Anyway .... Does anyone know the proper coding for music players now that the site changed it?

I wanted to take a moment to write a positive reminder for the roleplay community. This isn’t about bashing anyone—it’s about encouraging kindness and growth.
Back when I first started writing, the community focused on supporting one another rather than tearing each other down. We encouraged each other’s skills, celebrated progress, and respected each other’s efforts. Lately, hate blogs and unnecessary criticism have become more common, and it’s time to remind ourselves of the better way.
When it comes to writing—or any creative hobby—consider other people’s feelings and abilities. If someone struggles, don’t bash them. If someone doesn’t have the same level of skill as you, don’t judge them. Each person develops at their own pace, and that’s okay.
This applies beyond writing as well. Not everyone has a job or the ability to work in certain environments. Some people have health issues, social anxiety, or other challenges that make working in public settings difficult. My father, who passed in 2021, worked as a truck driver until he could no longer work due to his health struggles. He was an owner-operator for over 20 years. It doesn’t make him any less dear to my heart. I miss him every day, and he’s always in my thoughts.
We all have our own challenges, and it’s not our place to judge how someone lives their life. Instead of bashing others, offer positive reinforcement. A kind word goes a long way. Everyone has struggles you may not be aware of, including yourself. Even I struggle in large crowds, but I find fulfillment in hobbies like photo editing, writing, and helping family. These things bring joy and purpose.
Roleplay communities are a hobby, a place to enjoy creativity and connection. Some of us write, some edit photos, some run RPGs or servers—whatever brings us happiness. Instead of criticizing others’ choices, choose kindness. You never know how long the people you bond with will be in your life. I’ve lost someone dear to me in the roleplay community, and I still miss him every day.
I hope that in the future, the roleplay community will continue to improve and grow in kindness, support, and encouragement. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a fantastic week ahead. And like the good Mother Teresa said: "Spread love everywhere you go, let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
Hey everyone I am looking for a writing partner or partners in the Stray Kids universe. You can be AU or stick to the boys in general. I don’t mind. I can also try other verses too. I have been roleplaying since I was 14 and started in 2002 so I am a vet when it comes to writing. I love writing, bantering, and I even like sending gifs, videos, and pictures in our own writing server. I don’t have any triggers except one which is rape but other than that I am up for trying anything. My writing style is Multi-Novella but I love bantering with even a paragraph or a few sentences whichever you prefer. I also like 3rd person. I am hoping to find people like that to write with. Also, I mainly write on Discord so if you are interested I can send you my Discord.💕 I tried looking for writing partners on Roleplayer.me but had a very bad experience so now I am hoping to find the perfect writing partner or partners through here. If you are interested just leave a comment and let me know and I will send you my screen name.
I role play as Felix, Chan, Hannah, Lisa, Hyunjin, and Han. I am willing to do other characters as well.
I can do MxM and FxM.💕
The owner and admins of the Lighthouse deserve a shoutout for running a positive blog and page while everything else is so negative. Even when they have stuff going on IRL they're still there posting good things for us all. It means a lot to some of us to see what they say and the fun things they post every day too. If anyone should get a shoutout, its them.
Just shows that every little bit of positivity can have an impact on someone, even if you don’t see it.
Alice, sweet, sweet Alice.
Better known by many as Gossamer Fiend.
I know you often feel overlooked, or that you're not worth it. But you are. You have no idea how often you make my day, and I'm pretty sure that there are others out there as well who would tell you the same.
You're a light. A beacon of hope better things, even if you yourself don't always see it.
I've been with you from the very beginning of my journey to RP. We've had our ups, we've had our downs. But we've persevered.
You mean the fucking world to me, and I really do want you to know this. And to keep this in your mind. Because I know you struggle, I know you suffer. And I truly wish I could pull all of that away from you. Because you deserve the love, and not the bullshit that people pull on you.
I will ALWAYS be in your corner.
Your Batman
shout out to theo and atlas who don't deserve the hate they keep getting. keep ignoring it!
Putting this out with somewhat of a disclaimer.
This blog is in no way connected with the other blog, I don’t even know the majority of the names being mentioned or alleged acts.
I am posting this because the OP wants to give them a positive shout out. Shout out granted.
I hope your Blog gets more/as much recognition as those unnecessary hate blogs. Good luck ❤️
I doubt it, tea will always get the views. I just hope that at least a few people find some new writing partners that actually want to write out of this.
Slim shot but let’s be positive peeps ❤️
Some new friends to be had. Come check the page for new and active players. Alternatively submit your rp details.
I honestly want to give a shoutout to the X-Men team, that has always treated me like one of their own.
Much love to Jean Grey, Iron Man (I don't know your display name anymore, Tony. Sorry. I'll convert to Starkia for this), Regal Threat, Finn (even if we did end up parting ways), and many others.
You guys were often the highlight of my day. Even if I had my moments where I've felt like I didn't fit in.
You guys are missed, and one of the very few reasons I might consider coming back to the site.
Always good to see the more positive side of rp!
We have all made good friends along the way and unfortunately we often lose some of the good ones.
I hope you find your way back to the site and your friends.
Just a place where people can send in shout out posts so those that are still interested in writing and not just tea can try and find each other.
