“were you always surrounded by cute animals there?” zoe laughed, surprised that she actually had that nickname, meaning that it wasn’t a one time thing with the animals. “well it just reminded me of that ebcause it’s on your shoulder.” she smiled. “Yes I am, I’m zoe. I’m a leo.” she smiled.
‘‘Yes, I was,’‘ Penelope answered happily. It’s why she could be found outside at lunchtime most of the time. Either to hang out with birds or to look at the squirrels running around. At the girl’s explantation, Penelope simply nodded.
‘‘Well, my name is Penelope and I’m a Pisces. It’s nice to meet you.’‘
zoe looked at the girl in front of her as if she was a disney princess surrounded with animals around her. she found birds really adorable and the one she had on her shoulder was really beautiful and apparently friendly. “oh that’s so cute, you’re like snow white..or a pirate with a bird instead of a parrot.” she laughed. she really wanted to pet it but was scared it would go away. “i’m zoe, are you from the project?”
Penelope smiled at the words of the girl in front of her. ‘’Well back in high school they used to call me Snow White. I guess that hasn’t changed.’’ She let out a soft little giggle. ‘’But the pirate one is new.’’ She thought out loud. When the girl mentioned the project she nodded. ‘’Yes, I am.’’ She answered cheerfully. ‘’I guess that you’re too?’’ Penelope said, channeling her inner captain obvious.
zoe was on her way to the craft store to get something to support her usual hobbies and looked down at her phone for a second to read a text. she kept walking but sudenly felt someone go against her.”oh sorry!” she quickly apologized at the same time as the girl. “no,no i was distracted. i’m sorry, are you okay?” she smiled politely and smiled wide when she saw the bird. “oh how adorable, is it yours?” she asked surprised.
Penelope nodded with a smile at the question. ‘’I’m alright, thanks for asking.’’ When she asked about the bird on her shoulder her smile widened. ‘’No, he’s just a friend.’’ While she wasn’t an expert on birds it was clear from the color of feathers the bird had that it was a male. Seeing as the female of this species were less colorful than the males were. Penelope brought a finger to her shoulder so the bird could e bird could stand on it. With a cute little hop the bird jumped on her finger.
‘‘See?’‘ She asked smiling. Twinkles shining in her eyes as the bird tweeted almost as if he agreed with her.
Penelope tried to look at herself in the mirror while she did a little twirl. She decided that she liked the way her dress moved and that she was ready to start a new day. With a confident smile she left her apartment. The first few minutes of her walk were quiet until a little birdy showed up to brighten her day. At first it just flew around her, until it eventually decided to trust her enough to sit on her shoulder.
Eventually something in the window of a store caught her attention. She stopped to admire it and to think of if the store would let the little bird in. For a while she thought if saying goodbye to the bird was worth it. But she couldn’t ponder for long as accidentally bumped into someone. Turns out that she was so lost in thoughts that she stepped back to take a better look at it.
With a red face she turned to the stranger. ‘‘I’m so sorry. I didn’t hurt you, did I?’‘ She asked with genuine concern in her voice. Fortunately the little bird on her shoulder wasn’t concerned and was still resting there.

Here are some fun facts about Penelope:
She likes animals and they like her back. That’s why she can be frequently found hanging out with animals like birds and squirrels.
She’s very naive and gullible so she believes almost everything anyone says. In her mind lying is a terrible thing and she can’t do it. In other words she thinks nobody else could do it either.
She’s a terrible swimmer. The first time she did she almost drowned, which is why she only knows the basics.
She likes candy way too much. This is why she brushes her teeth five minutes twice a day and she keeps floss with her just in case.
Despite being quite naive she can get pretty motherly. She likes to help people and take care of people when they feel down or sick.
Doesn’t get any sexual innuendo or flirting of any kind. When you try she just won’t get it and either thinks you’re making jokes she don’t understand or you’re just being friendly.
