before i get to see you, koi.

it’s been such a journey the both of us has been through but… they must come to an end, right? it’s been difficult trying to trudge through this all without you but somehow, i managed. my time is getting nearer though and that means… we’ll be able to see each other again. i miss you, a lot. it slowly became more and more hard to sleep without you by my side, it was easy to  forget about the nightmares with just your hand in mine.

but i think now it's time to see you again. i love you, oh sehun.

He was a bit surprised to see a small box waiting for him when he got home. When he read the note, he was sure it was for him so he took it inside with him. He thought it was thoughtful, and pretty amazing that Yixing could tell the charms related to their friendship just by touching them— butterflies. A butterfly was a symbol that reminded Sehun of Yixing, and he felt like this was a very thoughtful gift—- though he’s not so sure he’d ever want to be caught dead wearing a charm bracelet with butterflies on it. But he smiled and hung the bracelet on a corner of a framed drawing he had made of Yixing, making a mental note to thank the other next time he sees him.

it took me some time to figure out it was a koi fish because of my limiting seeing but with a lot of staring, i got it! i’m pretty sure i was getting weird looks… i was just standing there staring at this plush, to be honest, i’ve do the same thing if i could uh… see.

anyways, i hope you’ve been having really good days and i wish you an even better… day.. today! because it’s your birthday hunnie! did you know you’re older than most babies now?

also, i want to use this opportunity to thank you for really being there for me.. and to really think about it, you’re the only person that actually stayed. though, i said this before, your back problems are scaring me… i don’t want you to be in pain sehunnie..

his time was now counting down by hours;

9 hours 20 mintues left

there were only a couple few they came by to visit while the others haven't talked to him for however many months or they were waiting for him, up in the heavens. though, nonetheless, he felt the need to say goodbye to them all-and he absolutely hates saying goodbye.

scrolling through his contacts his eyes fall onto the very last contact. kim jongin. he knew many by that name and who looked the same also, but this one, he knew exactly who it was. tapping on the button to make it call, he presses the phone to his ears and hope you don't pick up, because he was just too scared to hear your voice again and for you to hear him break apart.

his throat was weak and it was obvious he's been crying for quite some time, but he still continued on.

"h...hey jongin-ah, how have y-you been?" he knew he wouldn't be here to hear the reply, "hopefully g...good. as you kn-know me, i've b-been cooped up i...in this hospital for h-however long.." breathe in, breathe out, he tells himself, "i-i just wanted you to know th...that i'm glad i-i've met you and i w-wish there was more t..time to get to know e-each other because i...i think we w-would have been good fr.. friends! don't m-mourn over me okay? i-i'll b..be watching over you and jongin i-i--"

the beep indicates the tape was full, cutting his words short. silently, he begins to sob, muffling the words that he never was able to tell you when he was alive. 

'jongin, i'm going to miss you.'
