Regular parents had no issues bringing their children to work with them. In fact, their occupations are usually so incredibly boring that no one takes particular notice of the random kid in the office. Peggy’s, however, – it’s different. She works with Carmen, or she works with Theresa. And that’s that. The funeral home isn’t packed and they only rarely see another person enter the premises. Plus, there was the whole ‘ we cut up corpses & stuff them with cotton ’ part of it, too. Made it difficult to bring your kid on a field trip. ❛ There’s a PERFECTLY GOOD drain for that! Alternatively, the waste bucket. ❜ She added with a shrug, beginning to pour a cup of her own. ❛ So, what’s it gonna be? ❜
who in their good mind would ever take an offer like this? an offer to watch the person who gave you life peel away what used to be the life of someone else. he took another, longer, drink of his coffee and leaned on his fist, looking towards her. “which would YOU rather?” rhett himself wasn’t sure. hours in bed sound much better, but that wouldn’t keep peggy off his back. maybe an afternoon with her would fill their mother/child time for the next twenty years.
