5 Things I Learned From My Many Heartbreaks

After months and months of getting hurt by guys I am going to tell you what I learned.

1. Guys who speak poorly about their mother has issues when it comes to respecting women. 2. If you have to remind him over and over again how to respect you and how to speak to you correctly welp guess what that’s a fuckboy. 3. Stop imagining a future with them. You know exactly what I mean. Imagining how happy he will make you. How you’re going to do all these fun things. How he would act if you guys were living together. JUST STOP. I’m not saying don’t go for a guy you can’t picture in your future buuuuut don’t let that imagination keep you with a guy. Don’t keep the idea of him you pictured in your head from seeing the real him. It makes you biased and blind to his actions. It makes you stay through mistreatment. TAKE THOSE BLINDERS OFF. 4. Don’t beat yourself up over a guy. A few of us have been in the position of were we regret the men we had sex with. However don’t let that change how you view or feel about yourself. I’ve had sex with people I regret. This year has been bad decision after bad decision. I had this conversation today and I said, “all you can do is move forward. you deserve so much. don’t get down on yourself over past men you have slept with honestly. sometimes sex happens and sometimes we have sex with people for the wrong reasons. that’s life. but we can’t waste energy shaming ourselves for those mistakes. the way i look at it is the guys i’ve slept with this year i regret all of them. they happened when i was at my lowest point. i am now in a different head space and making a change. the guys don’t have me now and never will because i changed. i’m a new person. i’m not gonna get sad over things that happened when i was down cuz those mistakes gave me the push i needed to get back up.” 5. “Love” is a tricky thing. I tend to confuse loneliness or lust or both with love. It’s okay to not be in love. Everyone around you might be in relationships while you’re home drunk, eating ice cream, crying to Rick and Morty all alone. Who cares enjoy your peace. enjoy your space. I rush into love. I fall too quick just a to get disappointed and move on in a week. Honestly just relax. Your soulmate will be in your life eventually. Rushing to love with people who will never be in your future is a waste of energy.

I need to make sure to read these 5 things every time I talk to a new guy. Give myself a reality check.
