- Danielle Rante, Skagaströnd Wish, 20.06.2012 65°82’N 20°30’W” | 82.5” x 82.5” | cyanotype on Okawara paper
"Skagaströnd Wish was made in northern Iceland, depicting the stars’ position on the night of the summer solstice. Because it is daylight for 24 hours, this sky otherwise remains hidden. I coated paper with light sensitive emulsion, letting the sun (that which hides the stars) to expose botanicals I collected from the region to depict the night sky map.”
