Did a redraw of the Monkees' album 'Headquarters' except they're furries now. Davy is a cairn terrier, Micky is a macaque, Peter is a lop rabbit, and Mike is a mule.

HEAD 1968 · · · · dream of a manikin by thomas ligotti
here.... a gift for you.... watch out he's kind of a dick
On the set of Head (1968); (more behind the scenes of this particular scene here).
“Peter stood looking at me very puzzled for a minute and finally walked over and sat down. ‘Do you know if it’s true that “Lady Madonna” was banned on some of the East Coast stations?’ he asked. ‘Because if it is true, I wish you’d print that I think it’s deplorable.’ I told him I didn’t know if it was true, but I’d certainly print his request. The song seemed to be in his head the entire day. He would often sing or hum it to himself during brief stops and at one point he picked up a guitar and Davy joined him as they sang the song all the way through. Peter’s voice actually sounded better than Davy’s and I wondered why he didn’t sing like that more on the records.” - article by Carol Deck, Flip, August 1968 Here's Peter performing "Lady Madonna" during a Two Man Band tour in 1997.

“Peter has the most probing mind of all the Monkees. He wants to know why and how and what for about everything. Tork’s three outstanding qualities are his fine musicianship, his good looks, and his groooovy personality.” - Davy Jones, 16 Magazine’s The Monkees: Here We Are (1967)

the monkee screen tests all reveal a universal truth about each monkee that informed their specific evil torture corner of the box going forward. for example, davy is condescended towards through his entire interview but rises above it and responds as an entertainer, classic the show must go on style. mike spends his interview going against everything they say to him, trying to prove he has the agency to make choices even in a controlled environment. Micky doesnt even have a one-on-one interview -- which is indicitive of his monkee hell in and of itself -- but the moment that really sticks out from his is when he tells a joke and nobody laughs. i cant think about it too hard. they are killing him :( peter spends his interview using his instument/showmanship as a shield and then they call him a fag anyways (but its okay because that wasnt Peter per se. its easy to understand why he put on the dummy act) and yet every one of the screen test videos are so entertaining to watch because they are all so great on screen it overcomes the evils they were put through!! the monkee.
