Invest In Yourself We hear this all the time, but are we listening. Do we even know what it means? Are we too afraid and intimidated to ask for help on how to invest in our own development? Do we understand the importance of having a long term life plan for ourselves? What does that even mean? The Blogging Foreal event by @verizon featuring @chasingdenisse and @darling_tee focused on exactly that: investment in your brand, yourself and anything you believe in. This workshop helped me re-evaluate a few of my goals, desires and my personal visions instead of catering to the needs and expectations of others. Have you ever met someone stuck in time? Wondering what their life could have been like if they finished their degree after they had the kids, or had invested their money on a brilliant idea they had, but never brought to life? Yeah I’m sure we all have and wish we never have to trade places with them, but the reality is that unless we take a risk and work hard to bring our goals and dreams to fruition, nothing is going to happen. It’s kind of like a prayer without the work, it will go unanswered. Look I’m no expert all I’m saying is the next time you have a business idea, or a long term life plan you really want to execute, write it down and remind your self everyday of what it is that you want.
