When it comes to eye shadow, I always tend to stick to the same, neutral colour palette. Recently I went shopping with my boyfriend and he was willing to buy me something as a birthday gift. With this in mind, I thought why not use this as an opportunity to broaden my horizon and choose a product I wouldn’t normally buy. After many swatches and using my poor boyfriend’s hand to test out colours, I decided MAC’s eyeshadow in * was rather eye catching and complimentary to my eye colour and skin tone.  My camera (or photography skills) don’t quite capture the essence of this shade. Its much more cloudy, ocean blue than what it appears, but still with grey/black undertones. It also appeared to be extremely pigmented in comparison to MAC’s other regular collection shadows. I’m extremely keen to try it out soon!
The powder shown in the third photo is my third purchase - absolutely in love! MAC’s Studio FIx Powder foundation in NW20 is what I live for! Although, being nearly albino, I think it is still a shade or two dark for my skin colour. I’m unsure if it comes in NW10, but I’m keen to find out and test it out! I find it’s such a struggle to get makeup that suits pale skin without it leaving some sort of line or it being SO white you look like you’ve face planted in a bag of flour.Â
Just some of the struggles of being fair skinned, I guess. :)
Part two from today’s photo spree 📷
The orange annoys me so much as I want this theme to be pink but whatever, all the close ups of the flowers :) Even this camera doesn’t do these beauties justice.Â
For the past 24 hours and I haven’t been feeling the best, just really stressed and worried. So today I went on a small road trip with my Mum to some Botanical Gardens and kind of went a bit berserk and took about 600 photos. It was really relieving to not think about anything and just take photos - no phone to distract me! Afterwards, I felt so much better and happy with myself, with the thought that I had taken 600 fabulously frankie-worthy photographs. Even though this wasn’t the case, I still feel a whole heap better than I did last night. So here are a few landscape-type shots I took today. I would have uploaded all of them all at once, but tumblr can be a pain in the bum. So here’s part one!
Highly recommend doing what you love to cheer yourself up :) ~ Ruby
