It was always an absolute blessing whenever Ruby had the chance to be home on the farm. Normally, she and Isla stayed at 24 Sussex Drive, but for now, they were having a (mostly) relaxing weekend. Their farm was glamorous and well maintained by staff, though Ruby liked to help them with the hard stuff, it was a reminder that life wasn’t always flashy. Presently, she was brushing their mare, Diane. “Are you having a good day? Did you enjoy our trail ride?” She asked the horse, speaking in a calming tone. Horses were always her passion, her first love.
Of course, there was also Isla whenever Ruby thought about love. Their relationship wasn’t always easy or straightforward, especially now that Ruby was leading a country (that was still an adjustment) and planning a wedding. Thank god that Isla was supportive.
After a few moments of quiet with Diane, Ruby smiled as she saw Isla walking towards them with a pup in tow. “You look beautiful as always,” Ruby said. “Almost as good as me and I’m covered in mud, the most erotic thing ever.” As she spoke, Ruby laughed. “How was your day? How are you?”

Educational background: Honestly, a lot of Ruby’s education was very normal until she began volunteering and was helped out by her boss. She then attended the same boarding school as Leah and Etienne. After that, she went to university at UVic, and then got another degree at Harvard.

Occupational history: Ruby was briefly a horse trainer, briefly an intern for the NPD party (who then sent her to fancy schools to be hopeful) and then after graduating university, she was lobbyist, until she ended up heading the Green Party of Canada and then finally... the Prime Minister.

Traditionalist or Reformist?: Reformist! Despite acknowledging that the Society is useful, Ruby prefers equality and the Society is not really uh, equal.
Opinion on the society: Ruby genuinely thinks most of its members are good people which is why she’s stayed in the Society, but she is aware that they could quickly and easily betray her. So mixed feelings, I suppose.

Vacation: Honestly, like a very nice, relaxing resort trip, somewhere like Hawaii. Very laidback, she can do some volleyball, some horseback riding, some pool stuff... the girl needs to chill!
Day: A perfect day for Ruby is a great, big breakfast, a horse back ride, and then a day spent productive at work, without a crisis. Very simple. Very wonderful. Then go home to her beautiful fiancee, her farm and that would be that.
Last night: Ruby worked late, went home to dinner with her financee, and then fell asleep on the couch early.
That they gave up on: Horseback riding in any professional capacity.
Quick Biography:
Ruby did not grow up wealthy, unlike many of the Society members. She was born in Vancouver to teenaged parents, both of whom worked minimum wage jobs. As a result, oftentimes, Ruby ended up with her aunt and uncle on their farm in Langley.
There, Ruby fell in love with horses and was a natural rider, although she never had the funds to pursue a career in equestrianism. Ruby worked hard on the farm for time with horses, although she was just a kid. She loved animals -- and still does.
Always, always, always, Ruby worked like hell. She ended up with an internship at a law firm, and there, she became the owner and funders’ protegee. When Ruby showed continued promise, the woman, Lila, ended up seeing Ruby like a daughter. With such neglectful parents, Lila essentially helped raise Ruby, and eventually she paid for her to attend a European boarding school.
Ruby fell in love with politics and with promise. She was, and is, extremely compassionate and hopeful. When she graduated, she returned to Canada, and studied political science. When she graduated with a Bachelor degree, Ruby ended up attending law school and intended to become a lawyer, but instead, she decided that she could better the world elsewhere.
That was how Ruby joined the Green Party.
They immediately loved her. She was extremely charming, she did well with people, and Ruby ended up the head of the Green Party mostly by accident. It was never her intention, but to help people, it was worthwhile.
When she ran for Prime Minister, she never expected to win. The Green Party were always the underdogs, but they did. Ruby was never prepared for it. Now, Ruby is confused, overwhelmed, and planning a wedding while running a country. She’s got a lot on her plate! And she is very stressed!
