//So, here’s the deal. I miss rping as Brendan. A lot. He is one of my favorite muses I’ve ever played. I left this place and tried to stay away. I succeeded, for a while. I want to come back, but that’s been a hard decision to make. I’m not going to be nearly as open with this go around. I can scratch the itch when I need to. It’s a short list of people I’m going to be playing with. It’s far from a grand return, but it will serve its purpose. I’ll be using rubylightsofgrandeur as my url again. I can’t not. So, that should be up tonight.

“You think so?” Brendan asked as he let the other turn his hat back, “well, maybe I will. The shade is nice, no doubt. But hey, if that’s what you think, I might.”

“You were chosen too? Yveltal made me battle her, but she said she would have chosen me regardless. Something about making me see the strength I had.” No need to mention what had happened before, how the bird had drained the life out of him in a blind panic.

“Blaziken is really cool. My parents always talked about how some have an ability that raises their speed and how they’re the best of the starters from Hoenn.” After all, fast and hard hitting was the strategy that had been nailed in his head for years.

“Latios did not me because I had helped it. That said, Rayquaza made me battle it after I had summoned him. We needed Rayqaza to help us, and he chose me to carry the honor of commanding him, despite the fact that another had been trained for the duty. Why, I am not sure, but all that matters is that we saved everyone together.”

“As for Blaziken being the best, while I am inclined to agree with you, I cannot wholeheartedly do so. Yes, Blaziken does have the Speed Boost ability, much like Ninjask. That is a hidden ability, though. Mine has Blaze. Still, Mega Blaziken gains that ability, anyway. Still, Swampert is tough and durable, easily able to set up and tank hits with its one weakness, immunity, many resistances and defenses. Mega Evolve it and it gains Swift Swim, while also gaining a ton of attack. That with its impressive coverage and rain-boosted attacks, it is very formidable. While I have not seen them very often, Sceptile is easily the fastest of the three without use of Mega Evolving, hidden ability, and weather. On top of that, it can learn some impressive moves, like Dragon Pulse. While its stats make it naturally a better special attacker, it does have Swords Dance, and a ton of great physical moves to rely on and the speed to take advantage. Honestly, all three of Hoenn’s are a major threat.”

That had definitely been something he studied. Birch had given him the Pokemon Brendan had battled with, but he just grabbed a ball in a rush to save him. He had often wondered what might have happened if he chose differently.

“Yeah. Technically Yveltal is genderless, but I call her a she. It’s pretty cool how Latios can Mega Evolve though. My professor is really interested in Mega Evolution and how it occurs.” He lifted his arm to show his own key stone, lowering it however when Yveltal swerved to move to the Latios’s other side.

“Speaking of Pokemon, you got a starter right? Mine is Chesnaught.” It only seemed reasonable to reveal the rest of his team, since he’d already talked about Videl and Yveltal. And it gave them something to do while Brendan found a location.

Chesnaught, huh? That was interesting. He knew those well enough since he’d spent time here in Kalos.

“Latios is a male, actually. Latias is a female, but I don’t have one of those. Latios actually chose me, once upon a time. I did not battle him. I helped him when he needed it, so he went with me. We have been together a long time.”

“As for my starter, I chose Torchic. He is a Blaziken now. Like Chesnaught, he evolved into a fighting type. Unlike Chesnaught, Blaziken practices offense over defense. Still, I do like Chesnaught.”

My muse just got out of the shower. Send me “My oh my…” for my muse to catch yours staring.

🎧 Neku sighed and stretched his arms above his head, after making sure the towel around his waist was perfectly secured. Leaning ba- ck some to stretch his back muscles out, he closed his eyes and groaned lightly. However, the moment he heard a voice, he froze and immediately straightened, turning with wide blue eyes to settle his gaze on a certain male. His cheeks flushed almost immediately.

「 ❝ B–Brendan! ❞ 」

Brendan certainly hadn’t expected this today. Still, he had no intention of complaining. It wasn’t anything he hadn’t seen already, after all, so he didn’t mind blatantly checking the other out- or letting Neku catch him.

“This is a good look for you,” he taunted, a bright grin mischievously spreading across his lips, “the towel is a bit much, but hey. Leaving a little to the imagination is not a bad thing.”

//so, sorry for my spotty activity. I had gotten busy, so I was only doing my one liners for a bit. Then I had a house warming on Saturday. Then I had to work my ass off on Sunday, my one actual day off during the week. Oh, and this has nothing to do with it, but my phone crapped out on me, so I’m stuck without one until tonight. At least I can finally get Go. Anyway, I should have time to get caught up, so that’s what I’m going to do now. I think I owe four people five replies, but I’ll double check that before I actually call myself caught up.

I’m also using this as a starter call. That said, I am rather busy at the moment, so this one is only for muses Brendan has interacted with before, and it will only be one-liner to a para or two. I’ll worry about novela later when I have more time.
