I wanted to ask you something. Is Rentry easy to use? Would it be possible for you to make a tutorial? I'm still new to it and I honestly don't know how to use the site. I'd really love to learn things like how to add fonts, change text colors, and other basic formatting.

I've tried figuring it out on my own, but I just can't seem to get the hang of it... (｡ᵕ ◞ _◟)

Also, I'm sorry if my English sounds a little awkward—Spanish is my first language, so I'm using a translator. Thank you so much for your patience and kindness! 🤍

I'll try my best to explain as best as I can 🩷 Rentry is honestly the easiest to use out of all of the site builders I've used... Fluffle is the same but I find using fluffle a bit more annoying due to some center and padding issues it has.... I'll try to just answer the things you mentioned also don't worry the english is totally fine ! Everything is in the undercut cause this is a VERY long post...

Small little note when I say things like "markdown code" it's the thing you insert in the "text" menu of the rentry. Another thing for pasting over some stuff in the metadata portion I recommend pasting it from the "example" button and adjusting accordingly

In the later half the "[]" is used as a text replacement you don't have to use it in the code itself 🩷

Fonts:

At the bottom of your rentry page there's this +Metadata button, metadata is how to basically customize everything, background, border, page title/image and fonts ! you add them by opening the +Metadata thingy (you just have to click on it) and in there typing in:

CONTENT_FONT = [Font Name]

All google fonts work with rentry but if it has spaces then put _ in between them! i.e: Emyils_Candy. One of my favorite ways to find fonts I like is this page

Text colors:

You change text colors in two ways either manually or using the metadata code of:

CONTENT_TEXT_COLOR = [Your hex code]

Also for links there's:

CONTENT_LINK_COLOR = [Your hex code]

But you might want to do it manually for some parts, I personally like doing it manually to make gradient looking text 🩷 the markdown code for that would look like

%#hexcode%Text%%

Some examples:

^ for the underline part you can also change the type of underline it is, there's 4 types: dashed, dotted, wavy & double. Let's say you want your underline to be green and wavy then your markdown code would look something like:

!~#b8d200;wavy;Text~!

^ If you just want the wavy underline then you can remove the hexcode

Basic formatting:

All formatting you do is done through you guessed it; Metadata. Specifically with the code of "container max width" and "container padding" aka

CONTAINER_PADDING = [Number (usually 0-20)]px

CONTAINER_MAX_WIDTH = [Number (usually 200-600)]px

Without max width your box is going to be infinitely spanning if you don't center stuff

Mobile only displays max width below 400px, You have to zoom out or use desktop site setting if you're on mobile (I like to make all of my rentries in 75% zoom 🩷 It's the easiest for me)

Also small note: Max width can also resize large images into being smaller to fit it !

Padding is for how far away things are from the box (? Actually unsure how to describe this)

For stuff like backgrounds and borders I'll use an example from one of my rentries! specifically /ohiisan

Now. This is a LOT but I'll try to explain everything as best as I can (Also. That's not how it looks that's just how I formatted the image so it's easier to see)

The first part is the inner background image which is just a link to an image... If you're gonna be doing this then I recommend using sites like postimg, catbox or filegarden (I use postimg since I like it the most)

CONTAINER_INNER_BACKGROUND_IMAGE = [Link]

Now the outer background part is a bit more complicated... When you insert your image it's gonna repeat infinitely unless you put:

CONTAINER_OUTER_BACKGROUND_IMAGE_REPEAT = no-repeat

There's a lot of backgrounds that are seamless as in they repeat infinitely, If you're going for something like that then you can use:

CONTAINER_OUTER_BACKGROUND_IMAGE_SIZE = [10-100 range (whatever works best)]px

As for what I'm doing im trying to put my image (That around it has like a white blurred frame around it for this effect to work) up top with:

CONTAINER_OUTER_BACKGROUND_IMAGE_POSITION = top

The automatic position should be center but you can manually change it to center too, Then to help with the image effect I made the bg color white with:

CONTAINER_OUTER_BACKGROUND_COLOR = white

I HOPE THIS SECTION MADE SENSE IM #TRYING

As for the border I have NO idea how to properly explain it? Well first you have the image itself:

CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE = [Link]

Pss this can also just be a solid color if that works better!

CONTAINER_BORDER_COLOR = [Hex or colorname]

CONTAINER_BORDER_WIDTH = [Number]px

CONTAINER_BORDER_STYLE = [You can choose between: dotted, dashed, solid, double, groove, ridge, inset & outset]

If you want your corners then you can add

CONTAINER_BORDER_RADIUS = [1-10]px

Ahem back to the border image. I dunno how to explain the rest so just have the ideal ranges for the things you need:

CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_SLICE = [10-30 ideally]%

^ You can also add "fill" at the beginning i.e "fill 30%" this can be useful for certain borders

CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_WIDTH = [Max 30]px

These I can explain! Outset is how far your border image is from the box itself. This can be useful for when your border overlaps with an image

CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_OUTSET = [Number]px

Repeat is how the border well repeats. Stretch stretches out the image while round repeats parts of it. there's also fill but I don't recommend it

CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_REPEAT = [round/stretch]

The shadow portion is a drop shadow you can add to your box (+ you can add it to text as well!)

CONTAINER_SHADOW_COLOR = [Hex code or colorname]

CONTAINER_SHADOW_OFFSET = [X coordinate]px [Y coordinate]px

CONTAINER_SHADOW_SPREAD = [Number]px

CONTAINER_SHADOW_BLUR = [Number]px

^ Spread is for how large it is, blur is for how much it blurs

For text it's basically the same but with "text" infront of "shadow"

CONTENT_TEXT_SHADOW_OFFSET = [X coordinate]px [Y coordinate]px

CONTENT_TEXT_SHADOW_BLUR = [Number]px

CONTENT_TEXT_COLOR = [Hex code or colorname]

There's also a section for the page title, description & image/icon, This is mostly used for when you're sharing but the icon also shows up in the tab

PAGE_TITLE = [Title]

PAGE_DESCRIPTION = [Your Description]

PAGE_IMAGE = [Link]

PAGE_ICON = [Link]
