I find it funny when people hate on Magical Girl Raising Project for its anime or call it a Madoka ripoff

As someone who has watched Madoka and MGRP and consumed the ACTUAL media MGRP is, they’re both completely different stories and have completely different takes on magical girls

(More rambling below; a bit lengthy; not an angry ramble, more of a comparison)

Madoka takes the concept in a more magical turn while MGRP takes it in a more society turn if that makes sense

Not to mention, MGRP is a light novel series! Majority of the story and characters are in the light novels! So if you don’t wanna wait for the anime releases, just read the light novels, I guess? (If you can even get them 😭😭😭😭)

(Honestly, I might just reread the whole series and make videos explaining the stories mayhaps? I dunno, I just notice not a lot of people have a long attention span nowadays especially with long books)

Anyways…

Madoka focuses more on the concept of magical girls as energy source in a way of life through wishes, soul gems and witches and has fewer characters in the original story that almost everyone is familiar with. Kyubey being the only main masculine character.

MGRP focuses more on magical girls as a way of life as it can be a job. There are a ton more characters with varying aesthetics, outfits and abilities (almost every main series book introduces new characters). Some characters were originally an animal or even masculine before transforming into a magical girl.

Neither media is gooner bait and I don’t even think that was a term yet (2011-2012 we’re talking here)

I love both Madoka and MGRP a lot!!!!

I do believe some of MGRP’s hate is a little unjustified in some ways as people only see the anime and not the original source or compare it to Madoka but at the end of the day, I don’t really care if someone hates my fixations (unless you’re calling me a l0lic0n or some shit then I will not take that shit lightly, literally, cut the bullcrap! Not everyone who likes dark magical girl stories is a freak!)

Anyways, that’s my ramble on these two
