Letting out a gutted sigh, Ben runs a hand over his forehead. “No, not at all. Again, I’m… I’m sorry. It’s been a long day,” he lets out lightly. Maybe it wasn’t professional to talk about the day he had with a citizen—he knew it wasn’t appropriate—but at this point, what else could go wrong? Still, he had felt bad for not only causing a collision, but putting his foot in his mouth. That’s why he apologized again. “Uh… sorry about that,” he lets out with a small laugh.
Ruby forced herself to smile. "At least yours has ended, mine is just starting." She was not sure how she would make it through the next few hours and if she would make it through them at all. She had to. If she would give in to this horrible feeling now, she could already start packing her bags and prepare to leave. "Don't worry, really. No harm done. I'm still in one piece and very much alive." She only realized after she'd said it, that it maybe wasn't the right thing to say at the moment. "Okay, that joke sounded much better weeks ago."
