i need to talk about something.
i've been in Erma's fandom for a long time, and from the very beginning of the first chapters, i really liked Terry, who is a silly, sometimes rude bully, but he's a character that i find close and very interesting. let's admit that he stands out the most among Erma's friends, and you can see it just by looking at his appearance! c'mon, the dude's skin and hair are the same color and have no edges, as if they've "merged" together. and he's the only one who seems to be at odds with Erma, constantly trying to tease her with pranks that backfire on him, EVEN IF Erma allows him to prank her (remember the "Terry's Gift" episode). but he gets a lot of attention, and sometimes he comes up with interesting ideas that his friends dismiss because he's "just a jerk." ☹️
he is shown as an absolute fool, whose opinion is either poorly considered or not considered at all. although he has the potential for something more, his agility and endless ideas for making fun of Erma could be channeled in a different way and make him a witty, resourceful guy with successful ideas for achieving the necessary goals, i somehow believe that he is very intelligent, but he just doesn't know it.
remembering Erma, let me tell you that i like to ship Terry and Erma, because they look much better together than Erma with Connor and anyone else (Sydney would also be a good match for her, because it looks cute and cool, a ghost girl and a rat girl, and they're both half-breeds! that's an interesting trend), Connor seems very empty and unnecessary to me, and i don't see him as a suitable partner for Erma, no matter how cute and kind-hearted he may be. Terry and Erma have the same energy and agility, although they express it differently because Erma is a yokai and Terry is a human, but they both have a rebellious spirit and fire in their hearts. They both have a strong desire for adventure and power!
i can recall an episode where Erma joins Terry on a wild ride (or rather, a flight) in his homemade car, and i'm once again amazed by how cool and fiery their duo looks!
they remind me of Jax and Pomni from TADC, Jax is the same kind of fool and bully, and Pomni is neat and quiet. but in episode 6, we got to know how the two work well together and enjoy another adventure to the fullest, and it turned out that Pomni is just as "fiery" and shows her sharp teeth like Erma, haha))
the biggest drawback for me is the complete lack of any drawings or fanfiction featuring Terry/Erma, because, people, have you really not thought about it? have you never seen them together? well, it's unfortunate because they are very cool, hot-tempered, and crazy weirdos, and if Terry were Erma's best friend instead of Amy, the city Blairwood would be filled with the genius madness they could create. they would definitely be remembered for a long time, and many legends would be created around them!
i feel so lonely when i'm the only one thinking about it... but for everyone else, it's just "our beloved cutie Erma and some smelly jerk who's in her way." it's a shame that it really looks like that! because i don't think Brandon takes Terry seriously.
