Dia de Muertos

La Muerta watched over the living on this day, smiling softly as she saw them start to put together their alters around their ancestor's grave stones. Candles of many colors and bread lined the tombs, along with bright flowers. It warmed La Muerta's heart to see the love that the people could still have for someone who was no longer part of their world.

Emma finally found her voice. “I… don’t remember reading that fairy tale.” She assumed she was from the Enchanted Forest, but…. somehow that felt wrong. 

"You’re in Storybrooke. Ring any bells?" She didn’t know what The Land of the Remembered was or what she was a goddess over. "You might’ve come over with the curse?" Though she had mentioned a waterfall…

La Muerte smiled, "Fairy tale? I assure you I am from no fairy tale, señorita." She explained, but shook her head, "Sadly no, it has been a long time since I've come to the Realm of the Living. What is this curse you speak of?"

Why was Storybrooke so strange?

La Muerte looked at the woman and couldn't help but smile, "Do I frighten you?" She asked, "I assure you that I mean no harm. I am La Muerte, Goddess and ruler over The Land of the Remembered."
