I wouldn’t say 1896 is completely fanon/crack because they did have brief moments where hibari acknowledges chrome’s strength imo. Which was honestly the reason why I came to like the pairing and followed you lol. As for the other asks about Tsuna/Kyoko, I’ve always been indifferent to them but my issue is that kyoko is so detached from the actual going ons in canon that I can’t see them being equal in the same way I can see 1896 being in my fanon imagination. It would’ve been nice if Tsuna can treat a girl normally without being a mess tbh and he’s so overprotective of her when in reality wouldn’t he sleep better at night if he knew she can at least fight for herself?? Sorry for the long rant lol Your 1896 art was so good though and honestly it’s a wave of nostalgia just looking back at your art now haha, hope you’re doing well these days. ^^

Re: Tsuna/Kyoko

Oh, I totally understand! The way Amano wrote Kyoko’s character didn’t give us much to work with. In fact, the bulk of my Kyoko headcanon was provided by the fandom because, while I totally GET the sentiment that Tsuna needs people in his life who aren’t involved with the mafia-related craziness, Kyoko’s indifference/denseness was of a whole different league LMAO. Now, many years later, I actually think that it would’ve been better for Tsuna’s peace of mind if they didn’t end up together in canon (fanon’s a whole other thing!).

I still can’t believe how many of you STILL remember my 1896 XDDD It’s been almost 15 years? More? This place feels like a time capsule, it’s amazing. And I’m doing well, thank you for the message!

The fact that the “Yoo Joonghyuk from the 0th turn was willing to go through 1864 regressions solely to see Kim Dokja again” notion is so popular kinda irks me because of how it 1) strips YJH of any nuance in his character by reducing him to a pining lovesick man 2) kinda disregards an arguably more heartfelt reading of the scene

To clarify, I’m not gonna argue that YJH did not consider KDJ in his decision to regress, he evidently did, but it drives me nuts when people act like that’s the only reason why YJH regressed.
