This blog will probably be dedicated to writing x reader (mostly female, but can do others) with the kny demons (because I’m shit at characterizing the Hashira T-T) oneshots/headcannons, and promoting my actual work on the above platforms !

HEADANNONS: Muzan Kibutsuji

- Muzan actually looks REALLY sick (thin hair, sunken eyes, thin body, cracked lips, visible veins on his hands…) it’s not just his pale skin.

-He will always look sick, no matter which form he takes; he tried to change that. He managed to make his body look more buff, but that’s all.

-He definitely has OCD; his workplace and clothes have to be SPOTLESS.

-As a human, he had lots of panic attacks because of his fear of death; the lack of support made them worse. He also had lots of nightmares that caused him to develop insomnia, which didn’t help his health.

-Still as a human, everyone and everything sensed an aura of death around him; that caused even small animals to hate him, which intensified his hate for living beings.

-After becoming a demon, before he found out demons didn’t need sleep, his nightmares about dying intensified even more.

-His memory erases the faces of the people he kills, just to be sure he never feels guilty.

-He sometimes imagines the people around him as characters from a story; he headcannons himself as the main antagonist, and didn’t acknowledge Tanjiro as the protagonist (didn’t really have time to).

-His transformation was painful; so much that he forgot a huge chunk of it as a coping mechanism.

-The first time he tried to eat human food after becoming a demon he violently threw everything up; he got scared he was dying, didn’t eat human food again.

-Always refused to force himself to eat human food again after turning into a demon; he finds excuses for his fake identities.

-Figured out demons could have children with humans —although they’d be human too—, so he tried that just to check whether his spawn would be special as it’d have his blood. The kid died a week after its birth from the very disease that plagued Muzan as a human. He never tried again.

-He willingly made the other demons infertile.

-He has cat-like mannerisms (scratching surfaces like tables when thinking, his claws accidentally showing when he gets startled —it happens rarely and when it does, the other guy dies next second—, can hiss and sometimes does it when alone, hates cucumbers for some odd reason…)

-He hates to see children play together; he’s jealous.

-He’s genuinely confused about how in hell he lost to Yoriichi.

-If he slept, he’d have nightmares of that fight.

-Tried to learn how to use breathing techniques, but couldn’t do it. That’s because his lungs are too weak to use one; it enraged him.

-Tried to get a piercing, took it out next day because it felt and looked weird to him.

-He wouldn’t have gaf if Tanjiro let his hair long; it would’ve probably pissed him off, no more.

-Gets startled when stumbling upon Kokushibo if he isn’t facing him in the infinity castle; never would admit it.

-(Cannon I think ?) he knows a lot of languages and deserves a phd in chemistry and biology.

-Hates his child form.

-He’s left handed, but trained his right hand to be just as good. Still prefers the left one.

-Barely can smell blood anymore; and the smell of flowers displeases him.

-Keeps a small box of random items (Got shot once; he kept the bullet).

-In a modern AU, he’d definitely be queer; probably pan, and definitely genderfluid (he passes way too good as a woman despite being AMAB)

-probably aromantic to some degree (except for me ofc /j)

-Makes himself look older by wearing fancy clothes and altering his face (which’d explain why Amane described him as 20-25 y/o when he’s under 20)

Demons react || Their human s/o got sick

Featuring: Muzan and upper ranks (minus Kaigaku)

MUZAN

He hates how this made him feel. And he hates even more how he sees his past self in you as you’re bedridden from a terrible fever. He has experience; he knows you’re not in danger, otherwise he would’ve force-fed you his blood if necessary. Yet he can’t help but feel a deep sense of dread around you.

He often takes care of you, more often than he’d like, justifying it to himself with the fact he can’t let « what’s his » in such a state for too long. As for you, he always has an excuse ready: even changing the cloth on your forehead, or bringing you actual food are things he makes stories up for to avoid being seen as caring.

« one of my fake wives made dinner for me tonight. You can have it. »

He wouldn’t ever admit it, but he was very relieved when you got better.

KOKUSHIBO

As soon as you started to noticeably feel bad, he made sure to constantly keep an eye on you. He’s rarely there, but he somehow always knows when you need him to show up. He never directly expresses it, but he showes his care through small things. Bringing you books, warm blankets, giving you medicine…

He’s always silent when he does these things; but his actions speak louder than his words ever would. He constantly checks your body using the transparent world to make sure he doesn’t have to turn you into a demon to save you.

"Your heartbeat has gotten quicker again; I’ll bring you water."

His care is surprisingly genuine; you swear you could almost see softness in his eyes while he looks at you rest

DOUMA

He keeps cheering you up, not being very useful to help you rest; those actually taking care of you are the people from his cult, who are amazing at it.

His presence is very much appreciated though; he keeps you company and soothes you with head pats whenever you start having fever dreams. He’s loud, which never helps your headaches, but at least he’s there.

"Dear, did you fall asleep while I was speaking again ? It’s alright, you need to rest after all~ I’ll resume my talk when you wake up"

He eventually does learn how to take care of you when you’re sick from the people of the cult, and it amuses a lot to pamper you like that.

AKAZA

As soon as you got sick, the man PANICKED. He doesn’t remember why, but he’s constantly on edge, by your side whenever he can. He overdoes it a bit; but he’s probably the best caretaker among the upper moons.

He unsurprisingly has a lot of experience in taking care of sick people, and his presence itself is reasssuring by your side, even more so since he keeps reassuring you that he won’t let anything happen to you. He’s probably reassuring himself more than you, but it works both sides.

"As long as I’m here, nobody will ever lay a finger on you; I promise. You’re gonna get better, I’ll help you with that. I won’t fail you."

HANTENGU

This man managed to make your sickness about himself; he keeps wailing about how this is a divine punishment cast upon him, and that he’s victim of your poor body health. In the end, you end up comforting him more than he comforts you.

"This is unfair ! Why is it always me who suffers ? Why would the evil gods grant me a partner with poor health ?"

His clones aren’t half bad at caring for you though. By themselves, they’re not that good, but when they accept to work together they manage to make it work. And they make you laugh occasionally too.

GYOKKO

I know he’d either be shit or very good at caring for a sick person. He’d probably need you to order him around to get what you need, but he’s very good at providing distractions from your pain; even if it’s occasionally gruesome. He tried to paint you while you were sick once, he never tried again after the look you gave him when he showed you the finished piece (can you picture the piece « the scream » ? Well that was it, but in more horror-like)

"Don’t you like my piece ? Doesn’t it depict perfectly the way your sickness is eating the life away from your body ? It’s so poetic !"

DAKI

She pampers you like crazy; sure, Gyutaro brings her everything she needs, but she’s the one actively staying by your side and making sure you’re comfortable. She always makes sure your bed is clean and warm.

She complains a lot about how you look worse when you’re sick, so you need to get better quickly. She phrases it poorly, but you always smile when she says something like that. She doesn’t understand why though.

"Look at that face— you look horrible like this. Get better already, I wanted to show you my new room at the entertainment district, and there’s no way you’re going out like that"

GYUTARO

He’s clumsy, but he does his best. He often asks Daki for advice, and she pesters a lot about it but reluctantly helps. When you get fever dreams, he tries to either wake you up, or comfort you with awkward headpats.

He tries his best to give you the comfort he claims you deserve, stealing stuff from the women in the entertainment district and bringing them to you.

"There, there— at least you have a warm bed, you can’t stay sick for much longer surrounded in warmth"
