In reality, she doesn’t feel as good as everyone thinks, or how they labeled her. It’s just a form to convince herself. ❛ Are you hungry? The first thing I did when I came to this island was finding a cantine.❜ She confessed. Everyone is everyone, so maybe he isn’t into food right now, and she wouldn’t mind bringing him to Le Pavillon either.

❛ Much for my displease, yes. ❜ Part of her was tempted to be a normal girl and pick his hand, be brave enough. But another part, let her not do this. Anyway, venturing on the woods isn’t anything typical of Petra Alexandra Kardos either. She’s proud of herself, forgoing there for not be startled with anything on nature.

❛ Can I confess something? ❜ She says, after lowering her body to pass through some branches and foliages now being able to see the civilization. ❛  A pirate told me, the person tried to escaped had to die. Sometimes I wanna escape just to see if this is true or not. Honestly, if they murderer me for trying to actually run away, I wouldn’t be so surprised.❜ Again, nothing in this world impress Alex. She feels utterly bored and empty.

Ruslan gave a quiet snort at her attitude. Same Alexandra that he remembered from school. A bit different considering the situation but definitely recognizable. “I can eat, yes. Somewhere to sit and rest would be good.” He would need to keep his strength up but it didn’t seem like they were going to be starved or anything on the island. 

Swearing quietly under his breath when she mentioned that people who tried to escape were killed but it made sense. Truthfully it was one of the one things that DID make sense about the whole island. “Do not do anything crazy, Alex, and do not talk like that. You make it sound like... you want that. They are searching for us. We will be saved, you must believe that.”

Maybe the talk was more for himself than Alex but it was much easier to pretend that it was for her benefit to say the words.

Giving the guy a slow nod, he frowned and shrugged carelessly. “But there isn’t anything you can do about it, either spend your days angry with the world or enjoy what this island has to offer.” He snorted before adding, “life is too short to be angry.” Something someone had told him years before joining the pirates, he didn’t listen to it himself. But the quote was comical coming from him.

Tobias didn’t so much as look over his shoulder when the footsteps stopped. He didn’t care if the prince followed or not, he was attempting to be nice. It didn’t take long for him to hear the footsteps catching up with him, and he didn’t fight back the smirk. “Not far.” Pointing ahead, “I need another beer.” 

Who would have thought that a pirate could be so... thoughtful. He had a point but Ruslan didn’t like the messenger. There were a number of other sources he could take the same quote from so he decided to take those words to heart.. just not from this guy. 

“I’m Ruslan.” he wasn’t sure if the pirate cared or not but he was being nice enough to take him to food so, maybe a bit of politeness in return would be good. “Do they have anything harder than beer?” he was mostly joking, he wasn’t about to drink any alcohol here, he needed his faculties and wits about him.

“Is a pleasure to meet you Ruslan.” Alya said, she grew up with a royal and her mother always made sure she had good manner, sure most time she behaved like a brat but she knew how to behave like a lady. “Just because I’m a pirate doesn’t mean I’m your enemy.” She answered with a smirk on her face. “If I tell you I’m not your enemy are you going to believe me?” She doubt he would, things were never that easily on this island, but if she got pissed at every royal that talked to her like that she would be stressed and stressed just wasn’t fun. 

Alya looked at the ocean, the water was calling her and the urge was to strong for her to resist. “You already asked me two questions how about I ask the next one.” She said taking her shirt off and revealing the bikini she had on. “Do you wanna join me for a swim or you’re afraid i might drown you?” She asked flirting a bit.

Technically, she had a point but Ruslan wasn’t sure he could see her as anything but an enemy. She was a pirate and pirates had kidnapped him from his home and were holding him captive. Not an easy thing to get past no matter how amazing someone looked or how flirty they were being. Although... “I think yes, you are still enemy, but not a danger.” he couldn’t help his eyes moving down her form before he could stop himself. 

With a little huff, he looked away for a moment and tried to decide the best course of action. Her challenge had him get his back up, not wanting to come across as weak. “I am not afraid.” he stated resolutely. He was hot, however, and a swim would be nice, despite everything, maybe he could gain her trust and get information from her. Decision made, he pulled his shirt off over his head and toed off his shoes, “What kind of pirate are you?” he asked as he stripped down to his boxers and made his way to the waters edge, “Your job on the ship?” his tone had changed slightly, just a tad less confrontational, more curious though still reserved.

   ❝No need to be jumpy.❞ A Hungarian-laced voice rang, as the prince emerged from the foliage. 

   Not that Andris was meaning to be sneaky – okay, maybe he did. Lately, he was finding it more entertaining to watch people and gauge their movements and reactions when they weren’t aware that someone was watching them. 

   ❝It’s not like something worse can happen here. We’re already kidnapped.❞ By then, he’d gotten so used to the whole thing that it didn’t feel as anxiety-inducing as it did before. ❝Honestly though, I didn’t think they’d be successful in taking an Ivanov.❞

“Andris...” Ruslan took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, smiling wryly at his friend, “I’m going to spare us both and not list everything that can be worse here...”

At the dig about him and his family, the prince couldn’t help but roll his eyes, “Me neither, we have taken all the precautions but still, they managed. I hope my bodyguards are okay... I’m the only one, yes? They have not got the others yet?” he hoped that they hadn’t, that his siblings were still safe. Hopefully his father would double the guard for everyone.

He’s on his second beer, not that it effected him. But he’s filling his free time towards working his way up to get a little buzzed, there wasn’t a ton that he could do. Getting up and away from the table that was packed with other pirates, Tobias left the place. In need of somewhere to relieve himself, he took towards a random direction. Away from where everyone was.

Coming through a clearing, Tobias spotted the prince. The one Maya was in charge with, “Hope you’re not thinking about swimming.” A low chuckle escaped him, “we have no use with a dead prince.” He turns slightly away from the guy to take a piss. “Don’t worry, it’s not bad here. Sit back and relax, while you can.” Tucking himself back into his pants, Tobias tilted his head for the prince to follow. “There’s food.” Not the best of food, but enough to fill their bellies.

Ruslan did a double-take when the man walked into sight. Christ but he was big and the prince swallowed thickly, not really enjoying the thinly-veiled threat about death and swimming. Whether it was actually a threat or not, Ruslan took it as such and didn’t appreciate it. It took him a moment to figure out that the pirate was taking a leak right in front of him and he swore quietly under his breath, looking up and away, running his hand through his hair in nervousness. 

“Not bad?” Those words grabbed his attention and he looked back at the bigger man, “It does not matter if somewhere is not bad if it is somewhere you do not want to be and cannot leave from, yes?” He took a few steps to follow the pirate but then stopped, so confused how to conduct himself. It was so outside of what he was used to. Should he just comply with anything and everything that was asked? Fight back? Lord knew how long he would be here and he didn’t want to make things worse. Finally with an exasperated sigh, he jogged to catch up to the man, “Sorry.” he mumbled quietly, “Where is food?”

ALEXANDRA LOOKED AT RUSLAN waving her hand as if she ‘it’s fine’. The taller blonde sighs deeply. ❛ Yeah, I guess. Listen… The pirates here don’t pull their knife to everybody throats, I mean people like us, royal. We are — free away. We just can’t get out here, other terrible consequences might come. Like death. ❜ Was she afraid of death? Not really.

❛ I’ll, don’t worry, Rus. ❜ In regards to being okay with the pirates. In spite of wanting vent about her personal problem, Alex also wanted to avoid her personal issue. ❛ Let’s go… ❜ She was going to path on the woods where she learns how to get in and out. ❛ Sure, I’ll be making sure to tell you when we got into trouble. ❜ Alex reassured him, trying to find patience. But she couldn’t snap at him. She’s a thin line. Alone, and really could use some friends right now.

She shrugged nonchalantly at his comment. If it’s to be real with each other?! When she got punched she didn’t feel pain… It made her realized how empty is she. ❛ Try not to listen to gossips, I was never fond of them. ❜ She advices.

It was somewhat reassuring that the pirates weren’t pulling knives on anyone randomly and letting them have decent accommodations. He would be fine whether he was in the Pavilion or a villa, he’d slept outdoors before and knew not to take shelter for granted. 

Following Alexandra as they walked though the forest, Ruslan kept his bearings to make sure they wouldn’t get lost. It wasn’t much different than going hunting in the woods in Belarus, but you still had to pay attention. “You’re right.” he admitted, listening to gossip wouldn’t do anyone any good and who knew if it was even true or not at this point, “We have to make do with what we have here, yes?” Lowering his voice a little as he pushed a length of brush out of the way so that he wouldn’t be overheard, Ruslan continued, “Do you know if any are planning escape? Has it been tried?”

Alya took her running shoes off so she could feel the sand on her feet, most people hate that sensation, for her it was like being in a spa. At his question Alya stopped what she doing and walked toward him. “Does it matter?” She asked in a sweet almost flirty way. She had nothing against royal but sometimes it felt like the royal had a lot against her just for doing her job, she didn’t judge someone for being royal or pirate but most of them didn’t gave her the benefit of the doubt. Alya got really close to him, looked him up and down like she was hungry and he was her pray just to joke with him a bit before giving a step back. “Pirate.” She said. “I’m Alya but I’m sure that question didn’t crossed your mind yet.” She teased.

Ruslan wasn’t super impressed with the woman’s behaviour. He supposed it would be like a vacation for some of the pirates and royals alike but he wasn’t in the mood despite her beautiful and alluring countenance. He looked away when she looked him over like she wanted to eat him alive, scowling as he crossed his arms over his chest. Pirate. Naturally. Looking back at her when she gave him his name his irritation was replaced by embarrassment. Common courtesy was out the window with him, it seemed, and he could hear his mother’s voice chastising him in his head. Another thing he disliked. 

“Ruslan.” he replied cooly though his eyes betrayed his interest as he watched her carefully, “Prince of Belarus... and yes, it does matter. How else do I know if you are and enemy or a friend?” still not the most polite, he had no doubt she would tell him to piss off for being rude but for some reason he didn’t want to leave her just yet. He justified it that he could gain intel, that he didn’t want to appear weak by giving ground but the true reason was far less noble: he didn’t want to be alone and she really was beautiful.

ALEXANDRA IS SO UNTOUCHED in general, it felt odd seeing him tracing her injuries on her face, she tries to turn her face slightly as if she was trying to hide the injuries. In another circumstance, she would advert him for touching her, without asking, considering her phobias. But in reality, they both are in a screwed up situation. So she let it pass for now.

❛ I’m sure you’ll find out soon. ❜ In regards to who is going to watch him. But…❛ As soon as a pirate is signed to watch you, you have the choices to A- stay in the Le Pavillon, where are all the royals without their watcher stays or B - living on their villas. My case as my watcher is almost a GHOST, I stayed in Le Pavillon, besides, I don’t think she’s fond of me.  ❜ The real question is, who is fond of Alex? Other than Amelia, Gabor, and Ada? Gabor is crossed out from her list.

Of course… Her face. What if she tells him the truth? She got beaten up by purpose ( irritating the pirates so they can hit her), to get medicines out of it? She knew if she shows up with her fresh and clean face they wouldn’t give all medications she wants. As a hypochondriac, as she is, she couldn’t rest if she knew her medication wasn’t near to her reach. Yes, she got the medicines in the end. So… ❛  It’s not them, dude. Relax. I fell, exploring nature. ❜ She lies. Alex was excellent in sports. Mostly connecting to fightings. —– Exploring nature isn’t exactly her thing, but here is she, right?! Trying out something new. Trying to battle her phobias. Sure… She had to find Ruslan.

She rested her hand on his shoulder, giving a slight squeeze there. ❛ I’m fine. ❜ To assure him, and convince him, so he’d shut the fuck up about the pirates. Talking about pirates is the last things she wants.

Ruslan had forgot himself again and he pulled his hand away, wincing in apology when Alexandra turned her face away from him. “Le Pavilion...” he repeated, doing his best to change the subject, “Or their villas. Seems a strange set up to have prisoners roam free but I think it is best not to point this out to our captors, hm?” 

He wasn’t sure that he believed her with how she got her injuries but he wasn’t about to call her out on it, not right now when he needed a friend, “Okay,” he finally said after another reassurance that she was fine, “All right, but... if there is trouble, you will tell me, yes?” He had no idea what he would do but he felt responsible for their safety in some weird way. 

“They are looking for you, for us.” he tacked this on almost more of a reassurance for himself than Alex, “Countries are banding together to find where this is. I heard that there is a line on it, that they know general idea where we are here.”
