"That break you wanted for Roderich? Well...he certainly got a /couple/."
“You bastard,” Damek stepped forward, hands clenched by his side and eyes ablaze. In contrast to his typical amicable demeanor this was certainly a sight to see; a quite unnerving sight if one were to be honest.
statocnost:
“You hurt him. How can you laugh about that? That’s sick,” Damek stepped back, eyes still blazing, but the restraint showing that he understood confrontation wasn’t preferable. It was a thin line he walked, and he knew that if he didn’t walk away a physical fight wasn’t unlikely.
“What are you hiding from us? Who hurt you? What– what made you into a monster? Really–“
“Sick? You should have never come here if you never wanted see something you call ‘sick’.” The grin he had was still on his face, though at Damek’s next comment it quickly went away. Replaced by a sneer with gritted teeth. He had been called a monster before, he didn’t care about that, but dredging up his past was a sore spot.
“Why would you even care about that? It’s not something you need to know.”
Damek laughed quietly to himself, a hollow humorless sound that held no warmth. What was he thinking? Just because Viktor was an asshole didn’t mean he had to play the same way. Someone’s past– especially one that was as sensitive as Viktor’s like was– shouldn’t be forced out.
“I guess I do care. We wonder, you know. It doesn’t change the fact that you’re a bastard, but I guess–” Damek cracks for a moment, lips pulled up in a mirthless grin, “Some of us are still too immature to realize that violence is not the answer, and anger is not the way out. I pity you.”
Oh, he knew it wasn’t wise, but did he care? Not right now. Not really.
"Wonder all you want, but you're not getting it out of me." He sneered at the other, a rage in his eyes starting to grow. Though he wasn't going to let a man like Damek get to him. At least not yet. "To you it may not be a choice or the way out. If there was no resistance than there would be no need for what I do. But until that changes, things are staying the same."
"Now take your caring elsewhere. If you care so much for Roderich you'd go running back to him to care for the pathetic man."
