Gently reminder of how Goku and Vegeta’s story really ended (Taken from Dragon Ball Online which is, you know, CANON since Toriyama himself supervised the story and all.):
(Age 801) Goku goes missing: realizing his death is imminent and wanting to settle their rivalry, Goku leaves the Earth with Vegeta for a final battle. Years later, a supernova explosion is detected; it is assumed to be from Goku and Vegeta’s battle.
And every time I think about this I’m like
Because after all those years, it’s still what matters to them the most
And they, basically, decide to die together
AND I JUST CAN’T.
WHY, TORIYAMA? WHY?
