Joanna’s expression changed, not by much and it would’ve been missed if Kyra wasn’t paying such a close attention to her. Her sister seemed almost glad to hear her words, and the thought of making her somewhat happy made the younger blonde giddy up by a notch. Her words of acceptance made a petite smile bloom on her face. “I like it. This change in you.” She bravely stated, the smile widening ever the slightest. She still didn’t want to push her sister, or maybe rub her temper the wrong way, so she kept her smiles subtle and small.
She listened to Joanna, her attention completely on her sister, as she spoke of court and her feelings about it. Kyra was more than aware it had prospects that their home didn’t; more people, a large space and different places to attend. Varieties and opportunities were numerous, but it wasn’t the reason why Kyra wanted to go to King’s Landing; she went to see her sisters, her tormentors, she went with a cause and plan. A plan that might not seem so silly now, as she talked to Joanna. It seems like aunt Cersei’s favouritism to Shiera bothered the other twin and she didn’t like the idea. It could affect her mood, so she added, softly; “I don’t favour Shiera.”
There was an easy way out of that Check and she wondered if she should play it, endangering her sister’s Queen, or should she just move the King one square to the right and let her Check-Mate her in a next two or three moves. She chose the latter, drawing her move, and reached her hand for another apple pie at her sister’s offer. Joanna’s smirk made smile, softly and knowingly. “Yes, I suppose you’re right.” She nodded, but when her sister said how her company was agreeable to her, Kyra all but stared at her in surprise. Their conversation was now civil, but she doubted it would last; Joanna’s words reassured her and she found that Lannister bravery once again, to ask; “Is it? Rather agreeable to you?” She used her words as she glanced at her sister, hope evident on her face.

She simply hummed at her sister’s words, not really knowing how to comment. She was aware that Kyra much preferred this to her usual insults and teasing, and why would she not? No one liked to be teased, but everyone liked to tease, which is why conflict usually happened. She chose to drop the subject of her change, feeling a little at unease speaking about it, and merely shrugged after another moment.
At her sister’s words, Joanna arched her eyebrow. For a reason unknown to her, Kyra had an urge to, what, console her? The arch of her eyebrow turned to an uneasy frown, and she shifted her weight around in the chair, biting at the tart to buy herself some time. Yes, Kyra was the nice one among the siblings, but after three years of not seeing her, she forgot just how nice that nice was. She finished the tart in a few bites, and fixed her eyes upon the younger Lannister. “Thank you, I suppose. Although, I cannot say I blame you. She started all of - this between us.” She admitted after a moment, knowing that Kyra would get the meaning of her words.
While her sister drew her move, Joanna inspected her thoroughly - her naive youthfulness was still undeniably there, but there as something different in her eyes that she did not notice before, a spark which danced deep inside them. She always knew exactly who and what her sister can become, and she rather liked seeing the glimpses of it beneath the shyness. As she played, the Lannister wondered if she was letting her win, or if she was simply distracted by Joanna’s uncharacteristic behaviour. She did not comment on it, and drew her next move, tightening her grip around Kyra’s King even more. Kyra’s question made her arch her eyebrow in an amused manner, as she leaned back into her chair to smirk at her sister. “Gods, Kyra. Would I say it was agreeable to me if it was not? I am many things, but liar is certainly not one of them. I thought you knew that.” She said in a rather bored tone.
