@ironmaidenfan had me having to go listen to this, Happy Black History Month y’all have some Beyonce celebrating her blackness
HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH~!
In honor of this beautiful month of my people, I want to give a big shout out to black muses!
They are so underappreciated. Black characters barely get recognition from both media and fandoms. They are rare to find in the roleplaying community, and with those with black muses, they don’t have many people willing to roleplay with them as much as muns with white muses. To those with black muses, keep roleplaying. Just because your muse doesn’t get enough attention doesn’t mean you’re not a good roleplayer. We love you. ❤️️

“How does one steal from dead men?” Morrigan asked with a sarcastic burr to her voice as she placed her hands on her hips and glared at the fool but not before noticing that the three she had tagged as interesting were more amused than bothered by it.
Shepard spoke up with a light hum, “Would you be willing to tell us who might have these documents?” He had been keeping his eyes on the amusing show of Alistair trying to show dominance and of Shahira just stepping on the man’s pride.
He had already figured that the woman hadn’t had the treaties so Shepard didn’t think arguing would do much good.
"Quite easily it seems," Alistair bit off crossing his arms and staring her down.
As Morrigan confirmed the sensibility of the question she began to lead them through the woods. She lead them deeper into the forest, the further off the beaten path they went, the more uncomfortable the Dwarven woman became. She was uncomfortable but in awe. She'd never seen many of the plants and vines. She plucked at a vine on a tree careful not to break it.
"You've never seen a vine before?" Ser Jory questioned seemingly exasperated with her child like wonder.
She tossed the vine at him and it hit him in the face.
"That's poisonous," Alistair pointed out stepping around it to be sure he didn't touch it, "At least to humans, not sure if it is to Dwarves."
"..Maker's Breath, I'm itching all ready," Ser Jory sighed heavily glaring at Daveth when he snickered. Shahira was unable to hide a grin, a bit proud of herself.

Shepard snickered at what Shahira called the two sniveling fools. Goddess he would have spaced those two Primitives if he had the chance. He shook his head realizing he was starting to sound like Javik at least in his own head. Lyna nudged him and quirked a brow at him which he just shook his head and muttered he’d explain later.
Morrigan’s eyes glanced back towards this Shepard man and the Dalish before returning to narrow at the fool, “Now those are proper civil greetings, you three may call me Morrigan. I have a wonder twould you be searching for something that is here no longer?”
"Here no longer, you stole them didn't you? You're some kind of sneaky witch thief," Alistair exclaimed.
Shahira couldn't help but giggle, "He has a way with words doesn't he?"
"You give those back," Alistair demanded.
Shahira laughed even more with Daveth and Ser Jory giving her a sideways look. She was only laughing because he sounded like a large child. She rolled her eyes, "I've seen Deshyrs argue just like this," she commented, "Like human school children I presume, dwarven children just fight."
"I'm sure that solves everything," Alistair huffed indignantly.
"If I punched you right now, you'd be quiet," She said as a matter of factly, "Stop being so rude and self righteous," it reminded her of the disdain she received from the nobles.

He could hear the pure condescending in the mage’s voice as she spoke the words witch of the wilds back. Shepard felt the woman’s gold tracing over him before they seemed to cut back to the dwarf and Lyna asking them if they feared her like the little boys did. Speaking up some, he spoke, “I’m Shepard, the fearful lot are Jory, Daveth and Alistair.”
Lyna snickered as she slipped to stand somewhat near Shep, “I’m Lyna.”
Having watched the proceedings of this small group through the wilds, Morrigan had noticed that for the most part each member seemed to be following less the dimwitted one and more either the young dalish, the dwarf or the soft spoken man. And it was the man’s body language that had interested her the most during their trek through the wilds almost as if he sensed her.
She quirked her brow at Daveth, apparently he wasn't much better than Ser Jory. More afraid of the Mage than the Darkspawn...it was a ridiculous notion, "I'm Shahira, and what should we call you? Lest the stone blind fools keep at it with the 'witch of the wilds'."
She already missed Orzammar, she grew tired of all this open space and frightened humans. One of the boys muttered something, she thought it was Alistair warning her not to speak to her once more.

At the tower, Shepard moved so that his back was against a pillar and he could keep a close eye on each and everyone of his companions. All while Lyna seemed to be digging through the broken chest. He had noted some movement from the corner of his eye and watched as a woman seemed to almost appear from behind some of the ruins.
His blue eyes tracked her movements as well as took in every last thing that could make this new comer dangerous. Seeing the staff on her back gave him pause seeing as the only biotic or as they were called here Mages he had known were the Keeper and Merrill.
“Well, well. What have we here?”
It was a point of curiosity really as the didn't have Dwarven mages. She tilted her head to the side to regard the woman that seemed to appear out of no where. As she continued to speak.
"Don't answer her, she looks chasind that means others may be nearby," Alistair muttered to them.
Shahira snorted and her eyes flicked to Alistair, he was worried about these chasind folk, more than Darkspawn? That was a bit ridiculous. The Mage seemed to find this statement ridculous as well it was evident in her sarcastic response.
"Yes, Swooping is bad," Alistair said flatly.
"She's a witch of the wilds, she is she'll turn us into toads,"Daveth exclaimed.

manyvoicestobeheard:.
Shepard used his crossbow like he’d use his pistol and did well about putting bolts in the eyes of spawn behind them while he sliced his dagger through any that got too close to Lyna’s back.
Having sparred with Shepard a bit on their travels to Ostagar, Lyna knew she could trust the older man at her back. She also learned fairly early on that he’d do whatever it took to take the majority of the damage from bears or wolves or even darkspawn in this case. Of course she hadn’t had a chance to call him out on it yet.
Something stepped on her, a hurlock she was sure. She bashed it's knee in then it's head. After a bit, the chaos calmed and only they stood. She drew in a breath and let it out. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at the ground.
"Look up ahead, there's the tower," Alistair gestured, his eyes scanning over the group to make sure none were seriously hurt.
Shahira cracked her neck and stretched things popping back into place as she did, "Well on with it then, soon we're off this treacherous ground the better," she grumbled.
"I hardly think the dirt had much choice," Daveth smirked a little, but his eyes keenly scanned their surroundings.

manyvoicestobeheard:
“True a bit of fear isn’t unnatural but Ser Jory here is showing more than a bit of fear. In fact it might even be his fear that leads darkspawn to us. Some creatures hunt by scent.” Shepard’s tone was deadpanned as he stared down Daveth. Who he noticed had been staring a little too long at Lyna for his liking.
Lyna flashed the dwarf a smirk, “Our People would go to Uthenera not the trees.” She tensed pulling her bow from her back when Alistair stated that the spawn were nearby.
Shaking his head, Shepard hadn’t been talking about any Darkspawn but maybe it really was him after all he knew that during his first couple of days with the clan his reactions and even his nightmares had frightened even the Keeper. Maybe he was still hyperaware from the war with the Reapers that every little thing made him jumpy.
Pulling the miniature repeater crossbow that he had worked on with Master Iren, Shepard felt a touch more comfortable as in his non-dominate hand he slide a dagger in a reverse grip ready and waiting for something or someone to attack.
She held the Mace, Duncan gave her in one hand, and a red steel dagger in the other. The world exploded around her, dirt fell off three Genlocks blocking their path, one close enough to her for her to smell it's putrid breath. Four more blocked their path behind them. In Shock her hand lashed out and cracked it in the nose with the hilt of her mace. It looked just as shocked when she shoved the dagger into it's eye.
In the distance she saw it, a Hurlock mage, she set her sights on it before it did a lot of damage to the rest of the group. She tried to dodge the magic hurled at her but she realized she couldn't. It followed her, she growled as she trudged forward and arrow flying passed her face. She launched herself at The Mage Darkspawn tackling it in an unceremonious fashion, for all it's flashiness it wasn't very durable.

Shepard shook his head as he answered Alistair, “No, but I’ve had soldiers under my command that you remind me of who sometimes needed a similar touch.” He folded his hands behind his back as he took in each of them, “Well the land can end when you hit water.”
Lyna slipped around Jory before asking, “Why are you here Shem if you fear attracting darkspawn? I mean isn’t that what a Grey Warden does attract the beasts?”
Looking around Shepard asked, “Does anyone else feel like we’re being followed? And not in the way of being in danger but with the feeling of being wary of whatever’s watching us?”
Jory huffed indignantly, "Well I'm not a coward if that's what you're implying."
"Perhaps the human definition of coward isn't the same," Shahira smirked.
"A bit of fear isn't unnatural..." Alistair started.
"I'm more scared of the ground itself, darkspawn would never dwell under stone like they do under dirt," Shahira pursed her lips, her eyes fell on Shepard when he spoke and she shrugged a little, "I just assumed it was the trees, I heard Elves talk to them, I had always assumed their ancestors returned to the trees, instead of the stone."
Alistair frowned a little at this, his face moving to seriousness as he scanned his surroundings, but his head turned up suddenly, "Darkspawn, nearby, step carefully."
amongstaars:
Tali couldn’t resist a small laugh at that, tipping her head forward as she did. “I don’t have any specific spot yet, but there is one place near an older settlement with a ridge that overlooks the water…”
It was surreal to talk about, even so long after reclaiming Rannoch. Working with the geth for the first time in three centuries, controlled exposures to the local atmosphere as they slowly worked toward reacclimating to what once had been their native environment.
Without Shepard, it never would have been possible.
“You know, for all the times I’ve thanked you for your help, I have never had the change to properly tell you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. And for my people.”
She smiled at her, "Tali, Everything WE'VE done, you've been there with me every step, I'm happy you have your home back, I'm glad we didn't have to destroy a whole race to get it," she tilted her head, "I never would have been able to do it without you, I appreciate you always having my back."
Tali and Garrus were the only two that followed and trusted her through this entire ordeal. The others came and went, some by choice others, not so much. Her thoughts briefly went to Thane and Mordin.
She wanted to be back home on Earth, there were however, small groups looking to take advantage of the galaxies weakened state, "Luckily most planets are too busy rebuilding for anyone to cause problems...except The Krogans, they're not rebuilding, they're repopulating...never thought Baby Krogans would be so cute."
Her brow quirked, "Are you guys doing okay?"
