the unexpected kind of couple ღ
If Aliria was a fruit, she would be an apple.
Apples can be different. Sour, sweet, honey-sweet, ripe, rotten, fresh, red, green, yellow, orange. Apples are different, so is Aliria. The fruit holds deep and versatile significance in magic, too. Apples are considered a highly sacred tool across various magical traditions (including Wicca and Celtic folklore).
A fruit is a sacred tool used for divination, altar offerings and elemental spellwork. The apples are used in love spells, wood making and kitchen magic. Apples symbolize immortality – and Aliria’s ancient magic wield gives her opportunity to live longer, and look young even at 40 (let alone 50!).
Aliria loves picking apples, using them in her recipes and of course, eating as a snack. Call it a forbidden fruit, but so is her relationship with the Sallow – sort of. They share deep connection and love that borderlines insane devotion.
So in their case (and Aliria’s), the apples symbolizes love, warmth, autumn (her favorite season), fertility (she gives birth to twins) and the sweetness (and sometimes sour taste, because nothing is picture perfect) she shares with her lover.

Get it boys, let's see if you match with Aliria 😎
Asking the lovely Aliria!! ^^

Oh thank you! Aliria is answering!
3) Is your character obsessed with anything?
Herbs. Nature. Flowers. Plants. Herbs again. You simply CAN'T let Aliria out in an open field and NOT expect her to leave empty handed. This girl is obsessed with everything that blooms and smells like it could be used in potions. She's got a green thumb but she's also a Hufflepuff. Which explains her obsession with flora.
6) If your character could erase one thing from the world, what would it be?
Originally, I thought dark wizards. But that means it would erase her lover (sorry Sebby!) so let's say... cruelty. Cruelty to animals, to people, to everything that lives and breathes. She hates to see people (wizards and muggles) being cruel to and it breaks her heart. And that's naive maybe, but there's nothing she hates more than cruel individuals.
16) How does your character think whatever they're going through is going to end? (if they already survived, did things go as they once thought?) - also hi @barnabyjr requested this too! <3
I'm going move to the aftermath of what Aliria went through and say yes, she survived, but not everything went according to plan. You know what? There wasn't even a plan. She never thought she would lose professor Fig (the last of the people she could trust, and the one who raised her after Aliria's parents died along with his wife Miriam). She thought it would be easier but of course it's just some of her naivity. She never thought she'd fall in love with the dark wizard and marry him (spoiler alert: her and Sebastian get married a year after graduation and he doesn't go to Azkaban, but they are hunted down because Aliria is still a wielder - and a Keeper - of Ancient Magic), but she's actually happy, after all. She doesn't have much left. She is an orphan. Yet she starts her own family. But Hogwarts and Ancient Magic escapades built a true warrior out of her still with the heart of gold.
17) What is your character's most unique physical attribute?
Her gorgeous ginger-red hair! She is very proud of inheriting her mum's (Aliria's mother face claim is Rose Leslie!) genes. You know it's Aliria McLeary when you see her hair: red locks with ginger shade, shining bright when the sunlight falls on her. And it's a deeper red it's dark. Almost blood red. Here's the example of the shades that fit my redhead girl so perfectly: the link 🎇
Hello hello!!!!
For the ask game, I’d love to hear 4, 11 and 14 pleaaase!!!!
Hello, my dearie! Thank you for stopping by! Let's see...
4) How would your character react if they were gifted something handmade?
Aliria LOVES handmade gifts (and anything handmade, really) so much she would probably cry a little! She appreciates the effort, even if it's a small gift that didn't require much time - she would accept it with a wide grin, teary soft eyes and a hug! If it's a charm - Aliria would wear it on her bag, if it's a jewelry (like a bracelet) - she would immediately wear it! She doesn't always wear it, but it doesn't mean she doesn't like the gift. She keeps it in her little jewelry box and smiles everytime she sees it!
11) What's the easiest way to annoy your character?
Okay, first: talk shit about her country. She is a proud Scottish gal and anyone who disrespects Scotland would be immediately dissed by Aliria. Nope, she won't hesitate. She'd curse you in Scottish Gaelic and you won't understand anything (unless you're fluent). Secondly: call her ignorant (bombastic side-eye @ Sebastian Sallow). And thirdly: belittle her. Excuse you, just because she is 155 cm in height doesn't mean she can't kick your ass; it doesn't mean she's less powerful or strong. She hates when she's spoken to in a cutesy voice, too, because she is not dumb. Get a grip.
14) What thought or memory your character is aching to share with someone but for whatever reason, never has had the chance?
She doesn't have a chance to share ANY thought or memory with her parents. Because they are dead. And there's plenty to share: her long-awaited Hogwarts acceptance letter, her first broom flight, letters she couldn't send. She will never share her memories of finding her true love, the memory of him proposing and them marrying. And, of course graduation.
"I never asked for this. I don't want this!" "It's true. But we don't decide what we can and can't have. It's written in dirty scrolls that burn brighter than any fire ever could. It is seen on the dark night skies when the stars are shining and the moon casting its light on you. It's in your mother's blood. It's every breath you take. You are the LEGACY, Aliria Morrigan McLeary; whether you like it or not."

It was surprisingly hard to come up with the list of characters. And since this challenge didn't really have strict rules I went with the flow... so here we are.
hogwarts legacy mythology au ➤ aliria morrigan mcleary as ceasg
The ceasg (pronounced kee-isk) is a mermaid-like figure in Scottish folklore, inhabiting both saltwater and freshwater environments – seas, rivers, and lochs. Traditionally depicted as alluring yet perilous, the ceasg embodies the duality of water: life-giving and destructive.

Happy birthday, Aliria Morrigan McLeary 💛
On the night of Beltane, when villagers and guests were celebrating Beltane and danced around the May Pole, Rowan and Christan McLeary welcomed their long-awaited child. The daughter of Ancient Magic and the Beltane witch:
Aliria Morrigan McLeary.
The midwife said that witches born on Beltane are special kind of witches. So little Aliria McLeary was destined to have a fire-like passion and intense life. The faes would love the girl and treat her as a conduit between human and spirit worlds. She would be powerful; kind; nurturing.
That night, Rowan Jessamine McLeary brought into the world a girl who would carry not just the McLeary name, but a legacy of women who have powerful connection with Ancient Magic itself.
