“i think i’m ready to start working on solo work,” sookie admitted, scrubbing her face in her hands. she’d had a solo debut in rejectz’s early days, but nothing for about three years since. “i’ve put so much of my focus into my group, and i think i’ve gotten us to a really good place. is it selfish of me to want to start working on something for myself now?”
“I don’t think that it’s selfish at all? You guys have been in the game for a long time. If one of our members decided to go solo,  think we’d all be pretty supportive. Especially because you all have worked so hard and cultivated it without company input.”
“It feels weird to be promoting again, but… I don’t know, it’s not nearly as weird as I thought it would be, given how long it’s been,” Yeong admitted. It had been four years since the last music show broadcast he’d attended, and at least six years since he’d tapped into a concept as bright as Say Yes - so of course he was still worried. “I’m cautiously optimistic that things won’t go sideways.”
“Don’t worry, now you’ve got your little sister promoting with you, you know!” She says softly, knudging the elder on the arm gently as she sipped her drink. Eunhye knew all too well, the stress of coming onto music shows. Though her slip ups mostly had to do with worrying about the cameras trying to sneak in weirdly suggestive angles, wardrobe malfunctions and injuring herself on stage, she couldn’t help but sympathize with how nerve racking returning to the stage after so long could be. “But really, you’ll do fine out there! It’s Okay.”
“i’m hoping the same– i think i could manage if things were staggered, but i watched a few months back when sola and ginny had solo promotions at the same time as unity promotions. and it looked like utter hell,” he sighed
"It wholeheartedly looked … Brutal. I don’t think I could ever keep up with the others if I had to do that. Has the company said anything to you? Hinted at whether or not they’re leaning towards it?” Eunhye sighed softly, shaking her head before thinking, “i mean, surely they want to capitalize on creed’s success but what about your seniority in the company?”
“i know my comeback probably would’ve done better if i’d done the traditional music show circuit, but i honestly don’t know that i can bring myself to care,” jenny mused. she was proud of her album, and the two singles she’d released, but while well received, both she and siren were aware it had under-performed win-wise. “i think i’m just too old to keep up with all of it any more. like, i love my music, but brave new world promotions provided more than enough rushing between programs for this quarter. i have no idea how people manage such crazy schedules.”
“I feel like at some point you just have to turn your brain off.” She says, nodding in agreement with her senior, “I wish there was a Venus comeback where we could just skip promotions... I feel like we’re big enough to do that. It’s so tiring, wake up, get hair and make up done, go record for the variety, do a vlive, go practice choreo, go music show, go do a photoshoot, come home and record songs, memorize lyrics, sleep and repeat. It’s so tiring...”
“you know, i’ve waited years for spotlight to debut another boy group with me in it, but i’m kind of dreading it now,” eunsung admitted. “creed’s schedules are so crammed full of stuff, and i’ve seen how busy sola’s gotten. i don’t think i can handle that.”
“It’s Definitely not fun.” She starts before pausing momentarily, “Well, it is... But it’s also just like--- Well, you know how they say Venus is overworked and all...” Eunhye didn’t really have words, she couldn’t imagine how busy Creed must be. She was well aware of the double standard in the industry and how boy groups, especially one formed from the pandemonium that was Idol Project, had an overwhelming fanbase and how; because of that they would be invited on a slew of variety, music and other tv show programs. She definitely wasn’t envious of that, “Hopefully Spotlight will be considerate and not debut you in a new group while you’re doing creed promotions.”
“I’m a little surprised too, honestly…” Yeongcheol said, trying to straighten up a little bit and giving the other a small smile. “I was invited by my mother, she… said she wanted us to meet and get to know each other,” he brushed his bangs. “I wasn’t expecting a familiar face.”
Eunhye wasn’t the type to really enjoy surprises. She much rather preferred being notified when something was about to change from it’s usual routine. As his words ring through her ears she’s at a loss for words for a moment, shifting in her seat partially, “Oh, Mother?” She asks though she knows no one else is home, “So we’re siblings then? That’s awesome. i.... had no idea about any of this, but like... that’s great!”
ripley chewed her bottom lip. she, too, had a ton of attitude and had done a lot in her career to anger the company, but it was different when you were watching it. for ripley, she felt a lot less brave watching a manager shout and berate her friend than she did if that manager was yelling at her. “i’m….sorry i didn’t say anything. you were right,” ripley finally said, eyes trained on the floor. what kind of anarchist badass was she really if she could stand up for herself and not others?
Eunhye didn’t blame Ripley one bit, perhaps it’s the fact that Eunhye was hyper-independent but she wouldn’t want the other to get in trouble for something she had started anyway. “It’s fine,” She says softly, a gentle hand patting her shoulder before fixing some fly away strands of the other’s hair,  “I started it, so I should finish it. I wonder until when this company is going to keep feeding into delusional fans. It’s exhausting. I really.... can’t hold myself back when i see those comments.”
Yeongcheol was an inherently nervous person just as it was – even if there wasn’t any particular reason but his brain overthinking every bit of information thrown his way – throw in a completely unfamiliar situation such as meeting the whole family as suggested by his mother, something that he’d dreamed about when he was younger but never thought would be possible in any stretch and he was probably the most nervous he’d been in forever.
He’d tried to help his mother with the dishes but she insisted he just sit down and relax since he was a guest, so he was sat at the table twiddling his thumbs, when Eunhye came in and he turned his attention toward her. “Ah… hello,” he said, blinking a little in surprise. He recognized Eunhye from music shows.
Eunhye was a bit confused and for a moment, she wondered just what exactly her mother had planned for this evening and why the company had rushed her to her home. Was this some weird set up for a reality show? If it was she supposed she should keep her mouth shut and not cause trouble, but she figured she’d jsut be having a nice night with her mom. Tentatively, as she finally finishes setting the table she offers him a polite smile and sits beside him; curiosity pulsing through her veins as she finally asks him, “What brings you here? I’m a bit surprised...”
youngmi sighed, picking her phone up and setting it back down several times before ultimately deciding to just type the damn message. as the years went by, it had gotten more and more difficult for youngmi to ask for help, at least in some areas of her life. vocal lessons? that was no problem – she’d been working with a vocal coach since before she’d even debuted with harmony. but when it came to feelings or acknowledging that she occasionally had them, a knot formed in her gut. she knew, though, that eunhye would respond. she always did. had a shitty day. drinks?
Eunhye wasn’t doing much; just trying to sleep one of her free days away with all the personal stuff going on in her life, she felt a bit overwhelmed and was getting much needed rest. The sudden ding of her phone lifts her from her dazed trance, brown orbs squinting to read the text before she shifted herself up before setting up her stuff in the bathroom. ofc !! the usual spot?? i can be there in 20 mayb 30 depending on traffic ?? Youngmi was talented girl with a bright future and the spotlight singer was proud to call her her friend, no matter how many people thought they weren’t a good match.
Tension fills the room as one of the managers storms out, the harsh words intended to prevent eunhye from her need to speak up, but never really being effective. If anything, it just makes her more determined to keep it up. Her hands smooth the back of her head before she drops them in frustration,  “If one more man tries comments something disgusting like that on a vlive again, I’m really going to need you to take the phone or end the broadcast. I’m so close to losing my temper on these fuckers it’s not even funny... The manager thinks that was bad? They haven’t even seen me go off yet..” She mumbles, mostly to herself before stepping closer to her group mate and patting her shoulder, “Sorry i got us in trouble.”
“Ah Hyunjin...” Eunhye sat there, utterly defeated as she looked in the small hand held mirror, lids closed in frustration as her free hand comes to run her fingers through her hair and eventually rub her temples. She had no idea how Hyunjin managed to do this every.single.day  it truly blew her mind. “How do I even make these dumb things MATCH, i’m right handed, so how do i do my left eye?” Personally, prior to debuting she had never really done her own make up before, nose always buried deep in some textbook or in her sheet music. “Eyeliner is so annoying, why don’t they have a stamp eyeliner or something, i can’t even get it to go in one smooth line how am i supposed to wing it?”
If you had asked Eunhye how her day was supposed to go, she figured she’d call her parents; spend time at home and then hop on vlive for an hour or too before logging off and watching a movie with one of the other Venus members. Maybe she’d get some studying done in between there, but it wasn’t a top priority. But now, as she exited the black van in front of her mother’s house she wasn’t sure what was going on. The lukewarm breeze curls around frail shoulders, slender arms wrapping gently around her elbows as an uneasy filling begins to pit in the middle of her stomach. When things had started to turn awry, she had heard staffs talking about her mother. Had something happened to her? As she unlocks the front door and slips off her black heeled boots, she calls out to her mother; who’s faint response doesn’t quite reach her ears fully; which only concerns her more.
All 4′9 of the girl quickly steps into the kitchen, a wave of relief rushing over her before she notices the other figure, blinking momentarily before realizing exactly who it was, “Oh... Yeong? Uh, hello...?” Her greeting trails off into more of a question as she sets her bag down and moves to help her mother bring dishes of food to the table. @rvyeong
“Didn’t I say it was theoretical? I didn’t bring one, but I was thinking about it after reading articles, they’re really interesting,” They were also finicky, he read, and a lot of them ended up at shelters because people couldn’t keep up with care for them, so maybe it was for the best he didn’t actually bring one. Hyunsik started stretching himself. “I have most of it memorized at this point.”
“I heard you, but theoretical questions aren’t actually theoretical ninety nine percent of the time, Hyunsik. It makes you sound guilty when you talk like that.” She says, patting his shoulder gently. “They are really cute, maybe once you debut the company will let you get one. But it depends on how successful it is; they only let you start bending the rules when you’re successful or if you’re contract is about to expire, because they want to keep you.” She stands up from the polished wood floor and offers him a hand, “Shall we run through it then? I had to learn it a while ago; it might be good practice!”
“I’m not saying that I’m did, but theoretically if I wanted to rescue a hedgehog, how long do you think it would take for Spotlight to find out and give her away?” Hyunsik mused. “They wouldn’t be so cruel, right? Like, they wouldn’t keep a little hedgie from a nice home, right?”
“Please tell me you didn’t bring a hedgehog into your dorm?” Eunhye asks, a small smile twitching onto her otherwise stern looking features, “If you did you need to ind a home for her before the company finds her. I doubt they’d let you keep a hedgehog. They barely let anyone keep their dogs, but then again hedgehogs don’t need walks and aren’t that much of a hassle, so maybe they would let you keep it.” The main dancer stretches her leg’s out in front of her, before cracking her back, “How much of the choreography do you have memorized?”
what’s up it’s ya bitch bibi back at it again w/ new characters. Please meet formerly harvard bound idol, Eunhye, she’s a perfectionist and really annoying but pls love her anyway. Her bio is here
Eunhye grew up with extremely hardworking parents and unsurprisingly she got that trait from them. She knows that they’ve had a lot of schedules in comparison to other groups, but doesn’t consider it overworking herself. She considers it as being recognized for her efforts. She’d rather have too many schedules than have none.
She’s almost?? obsessive with her goals and is overly competitive, but she’s not a mean girl. She will befriend her competition, admire them and work harder to beat them. She tends to exert herself too much to the point where she literally is sore all over, or her voice is gone from strain, but she feels like it’s all apart of the practice.
Her attention span during group live broadcasts is nearly nonexistent. She zones out so much that it’s not even funny.
can’t do aegyo for shit, please don’t ask her she dies inside. but she also has her own naturally cute habits and charms.
She is a WINE MOM, she loves red wine; wants to be set up in a rococo-esque building where she can wear flowy dresses and feel like a princess.
she tends to get a lot of shit for hinting that she’s a feminist. She doesn’t do it intentionally, but people see Born Kim Jiyoung 1982 on her desk and starts rioting.
While she understands the company cares for her image and she does as well to an extent, she wishes she had more freedom to speak about the things she believes in.
She loves doing research??
Is v v v v friendly, but she’s a take it or leave it kind of girl. She really could care less what ppl think abt her
it’s great that she doesn’t have her own instagram bc she’s creeped out by older male fans doing slowmos of her fancams and would probably cuss them out.
She does have a secret twitter account where she looks at memes.
pizza is her fave food???
she can be a bit passionate at times and it ovverides her thinking for a while.
