“isn’t that what they employ maintenance for in the first place? i don’t think i could work with something constantly dripping.” music, the general background noise of other people shuffling around, even outside noise was fine, but a leak would drive yifan out of their mind. “guess you never know what’ll be useful until it’s too late.”

“i’m glad you know better,” they laughed. “you must be pretty good, though, if they keep putting you in stuff. doesn’t seem like they’d keep giving you chances if you sucked.”

“where do you find your pants?” they asked, looking over tomoe’s outfit. yifan’s fashion was....lacking at best, but tomoe was much better dressed. “all the pants i like only come in men’s sizes and they hang off my ass.”

sure, hwayoung had approximately 2 lines of her own in the entire song, but she didn’t particularly care about that. dispatch called distich-g one of the most powerful girl groups in the game at the moment. to be recognized on such a large scale so soon after their debut made hwayoung’s head spin. the choreography was one of her favorites, the song was high-energy and catchy, and she couldn’t be more proud of her members for all the hard work they’d put into making adios the best it could be. she couldn’t stop smiling, her cheeks starting to get sore. “i still can’t believe dispatch said that about us. i’m – usually people are upset when dispatch writes something about them, but this is… wow.” she trailed off, hands on her cheeks, still in disbelief.

“congratulations,” they offered with a soft smile. “they seem like hard ones to please. i’m glad the song’s reception has been good so far.” maybe yifan should be paying more attention to dispatch as a general rule, but they were hired as a consultant, not as pr to make sure there’s no scandals being thrown about. the “news” didn’t affect them all too much. “seems like you’re all working very hard.”

“I’m not saying I’m not happy that the leaky ceiling has been fixed in the building because it was super distracting,” Seulgi said, then pausing for a bit, assessing how stupid the next thing she was thinking was. “But it had a pretty interesting  rhythm going on for a while there. It could’ve been a good beat.”

“you would think they’d have someone from maintenance check that out before it had gone on so long that you could memorize how it sounded....” they trailed off. “maybe you should’ve recorded it if it was something useful.”

“that’s now three g-project covers i’ve gotten to feature in,” meng announced with a proud smile. “i know it’s stupid to read into this stuff before it’s confirmed but……i think this is a strong indication they have plans for me, right?”

“listen, i just teach the higher ups how to properly use those funny little number symbols on twitter,” they answered with a shrug. “i don’t know anything about how they pick who’s going where or doing what. i just help them post about it.”

it’s me again, this time with yifan! they’re an influencer turned social media consultant for new age. they still moonlight on their instagram sometimes but mostly use it now for just posting whatever it is that they want. maybe an even bigger stick in the mud than fallon. as always, more below the cut; i’ll probably post a starter call in the server but if you’re interested, liking this post also works

accidentally gained a large social media following

mostly posted whatever they wanted, it was a lot of artsy shit and Fashion but really never expected it to go anywhere??? oops! 

spent 4 years cultivating it and moving across platforms and getting that good Sponsorship Money

woke up in the middle of the night one night from a dead sleep and realized they needed a more stable career

applied to a TON of places but they have no formal credentials so it took a while to find a job 

has conditioned themselves to think that everything needs to be documented. it really doesn’t please put your phone down.
