“i’m sorry, dude. that was the last thing that was on the truck,” casey said, carefully putting down the amp he’d been hauling and wiping his hands on his pants. “are you sure it was supposed to be on this truck? because if it was, i might be able to call back to my buddy in shipping– he might be able to track it down…”

“i still can’t believe that liberty stuck me in a japense group,” harin sighed. “like, i like my groupmates, don’t get me wrong. japan is cool too. the music we make is fun to play. but like….. i didn’t know japanese. had no connection to it. and they were just like….. you seem like a good person to send exclusively to japan….”

“People underestimate the things I would do for this bread.” the words are spoken before she takes a ginormous bite of her sandwich, letting out a quiet hum of glee as she wiggled in place. She was truly glad she had found a small mom and pop café-restaurant that she could sit at and not have to worry about fans bomb rushing her. It really gave her a better sense of normalcy and comfort. “The only thing I ask is that you not tell a bunch of people about this place, it’s a secret little hideaway!”

personality wise i was inspired by thee krystal jung. lixue can come off as a cool and detached but that's just because she's very introverted!! she's actually very caring and sensitive— the kind to make you soup if ur sick, water ur plants when ur gone— but tends to deal with her feelings on her own and alone

really,,, she can be very sweet always thinks of others before herself so she’s prone to overworking herself

her childhood was kinda hard because when she was young her father left and mama was very much affected :( and as the Older Sibling™️ she had to take over and care for her siblings + the house

so, you know, she would take odd jobs here and there to help mom but as a minor she couldn't get a real job so sometimes lixue would busk in the streets to make some extra $$$ and that's how she was scouted

tbh she had zero interest in becoming an idol bc!! she has a family!! that needs her!! no way she’s going to just up and leave them like you-know-who >:(

in the end mama and her youngest sister convinced her to accept the offer because lbr they could barely sustain themselves so a superior education was never an option and getting a good paying job without a degree is a pain in the ass, so better to give it a try because you never know!!

after like two months in new age it downed on lixue that this was a really bad idea because 1) she can't speak korean 2) she’s waaaaay behind than the other trainees

things eventually work out tho, she manages to make friends despite the language barrier and after a long six years lixue finally gets to debut!! tbh she did think about packimg up and leaving multiple times but little sis was all "if u give up i'm never speaking 2 u again" even if they both know it's an empty threat lixue wasn't going to risk it. however, to this day, she still feels guilty for not being there with her family to take care of them first hand ://

aaaaaah what more can i tell you... given her personality i don't see her as someone who dates or having a casual thing. probably has only one (1) ex and it was a very years long relationship, kinda intense because first loves and whatnot

her relationship with the staff at new age is lowkey tense because she always puts her kids groupmates before anything and, despite her gentle and reserved demeanor, she won't hesitate to throw hands if she believes distich isn't being treated well

“i’m so proud of my sister– she’s so brave,” aesol announced with a dreamy smile. “her old group went bad, but she’s never given up! even when her solo work didn’t blow up! and now she’s still trying on idol project! i would have definitely given up by now– i should tell all my fans to vote for her….”

“i kind of get conflicted sometimes,” yoonseok admitted. “i chose to be on jinkyung’s show, and i don’t regret it. but i’m known more from that reality show than i am for my acting. it’s a weird feeling.” he sighed. “i love my family, and i swear, i don’t mind the show. but i’ve been acting my whole life, and it’s my dream job. it just….feels weird.”

“no way…. me and the girls got invited on a radio show,” narae said, face going pale. “like…..one of the ones idols go on. what the heck am i supposed to do? i’m a gamer! i’m not a public figure. we’re going to stick out like sore thumbs and make absolute fools of ourselves…”
