Joseph grabs a certain Marowak and carries him away for cuddles.
"Oh, hi there!"
He didn't seem to mind getting carried away. In fact, he merely relaxedand 'went limp'.
A soft blush tinted her muzzle before she would hshake it away. Her? Attractive? Twas a thought that hard sell for someone who was so convinced her value was only in what she could do for her master. The only beauty she could craft was carnage. She herself was a monster and she knew it.
And yet, this stranger wasn't afraid of her. No, not stranger. Luv. She has a name.
"You'd want me around?"
What is this feeling? She helf a claw to her own mouth and nibbled on the blood red claw. Was she nervous? Why? Was it because Luv wasn't afraid of her? Or, was it because of the invitation itself? This fluttering in her chest was new.
She didn't like it...
"I appreciate your offer, perhaps I shall take it if I can find a way to reach it."
At the moment, just like thier meeting, it seems to merely be the whims of fate guiding her steps now. Who knows where she may end up.
She couldn't hide a soft giggle as she covered her lips as she found the others reaction to be rather cute! Adorable even! But having spent so much time around Cinder, Kat, and Dream! she couldn't help but just feel rather at ease around the strange and odd. She wasn't exactly normal herself was she? Her desire for a lover that bordered on madness was far from normal. She could hardly stand her own kind but found comfort in other pals, and especially humans... which was not always well received by others.
" Of course! why wouldn't i? You are no stranger then some of my friends in the compound. Kat is always researching his black magic... and voodoo, and Cinder enjoys watching his enemies burn... he might enjoy it to much ha! and Dream? well... she might seem cute! but she's got a dark side for certain "
She waved a claw to dismiss it all as just an average day for her as if this was what she dealt with on the regular.
" I don't know why i get along with the Noct Pal's so well but i do... "
" Here, i have just the thing for you! "
She rifled around in a small leather satchel attached to her side pulling a violet crystal from the pouch. It had little clouds swirling about it that would vanish and reappear like it was condensing nearby water vapor.
" This is a homeward thundercloud! or thats what master calls it! it can transport you straight to the compound... it has a hefty recharge timer, but should you ever wish to see my home! it'll get you there no problem! i can have a friend teleport you back home once you wish to leave "
She looked at the strange crystal, her head tilting left and right slightly, puzzled. What an odd thing to just give away, she mused to herself. Not to own, mind you, as its a very smart idea to have a quick way to get back home. Lena was intimately familiar with such concepts. But they had only just met and Luv was already trusting her with a back door into her compound.
It was enough to make her laugh.
"Had you given me that a while back, I would have called you a fool..."
Had she given her that a while back, she likely would have led an assault on that compound personally. For glory and conquest. But she's... Different now. More tame and less crazy. She has friends now. Well, what one would call friends anyway. Allies? She is still getting used to the word.
She bowed respectfully and accepted the offered crystal, "I will try not to abuse this trust, Luv."
The 'yes or no' game.
Send my muse "❓+" alongside harsh hitting questions, scenarios, anything question-related really, but they can only answer with "yes" or "no". Nothing more, nothing less.
The Absol's eyes narrowed as the other told her tale. So she had a loving master, as far as she could gather with how she brightened up ever so slightly amidst the pain. How quaint. That's one thing they differed in, she supposed. Her master was strict, ruthless and unforgiving. Luv's sounded a bit more put together with how she was dreamily describing them.
It was brief, but it spoke volumes as to her mental state, and the hole their absence left behind.
Lena was aimless, just surviving. But Luv? She had a purpose, to protect and preserve what her Master left behind. She had something worth protecting.
But when the subject shifted from her past to her present duties in dealing with poachers, Lena's fur bristled, standing on end in agitation, "Poachers? I suppose some things never change."
She growled audibly, spitting in disgust, "Bastards like that deserve not the air they breathe. Taking what belongs not to them, sullying our masters visions with their greed, taking their followers. For what it is worth, if they are your enemy, they are my enemy."
She gave the other a toothy, wicked grin, her enthusiasm to harm difficult to curb.
The poachers were always a bit of an issue. Even back when her master was around, they would show up enforce to try and raid the camp. In the early days it was a fight for survival, but as time went by and the compound grew into a massive fortress, and Master taught them the usefulness of arming themselves. It became less of a threat and more sheer annoyance. Today the compound lacked the numbers of the old days, and so they were a threat.
But like master use to say---waste not want not! and she and the others had found unique solutions for the poachers! Grizz especially believed in making the punishment fit the crime! and so Luv had made them the justiciar of the compound.
" You sound as if you'd get along well with Grizz. He was very much in the mind that we needed to keep order in the compound--- we came up with our own unique solution to the problem... "
She tapped her chin with a bemused smile
" After all a farm doesn't run itself! and human hands are as good as any Pal... Its only fitting they be put to work! Its worked well so far... perhaps in time they will learn a valued lesson! "
" Plus i do break my toys often enough! its good to have replacements..."
Oh? That was brillaint... Her smile grew even wider as her black arm seemed to undulate and pulse, momentarily losing its shape before she willed it to sharpen, regaining her compsoure as she cleared her throat.
"My master would have approved... Either they perish in obscurity, or they bend the knee and serve. Do so willingly, and you may get lucky enough to be one of his many arms." She gave her arm a playful wiggle before she put a claw up to her mouth and stiffled a giggle, "I was branded by them once... A horrid blessing, and a delightful curse."
It wasn't until she said that that she realized just how enthused she was, feeling the darkness leaking all over half of her face, "Oh... I suppose, I am too used to having it around. I must look unsightly."
She wiped her face, "The price of power is steep, and my beauty is part of the cost. But, no price was too high for the master."
Old habits die hard...
She tilted her head watching that shadowy substance not with disdain but interest. it was far from the strangest thing she'd seen in her life, and in a way she still found the other quite attractive! Scars could be a defining trait after all. But she didn't stare long not wishing to seem rude, or off putting.
" Well i like to believe we deal out our justice fairly--- but i have no love for poachers. I would be just as thrilled to watch them burn in a pyre... but grizz was a firm believer in justice... and all that. I like to think we are more civil for it "
She admitted but couldn't help let her gaze linger on those shadowy parts of Lena, curiosity getting the better of her.
" Mmm i wouldn't say unsightly. We all wear our scars, some are more visible then others... but i still find you rather attractive! besides my bestie is a Katress--- he deals in all sorts of black magic and vodoo! so i guess i'm rather acclimated to the idea "
" Honestly you should come see the compound sometime. You might even find the island hospitable! at the very least you are always welcome there "
A soft blush tinted her muzzle before she would hshake it away. Her? Attractive? Twas a thought that hard sell for someone who was so convinced her value was only in what she could do for her master. The only beauty she could craft was carnage. She herself was a monster and she knew it.

Yet another stranger far from home. In a sense, the two are kindred spirits, as this isn't Lena's home either. She may have gotten used to these lands, these people, but it wasn't her home.
She found herself nodding along to the others explanation, her head perking up as she heard the other mention a master. Yet another connection she couldn't help but sympathize with, "So, your master is missing too. I bet you feel a little... Aimless, looking for purpose? Surviving."
Someone may or may not be projecting right now. But... Baby steps. She's talking about her problems. Before, she would bite first and ask questions never.
She tensed up when the other inquired about her Master, a Topic that was quite sensitive for her. Her master had been so integral to her evolution, and without him she would not be who she was. In a literal sense, his experiments had gifted her with speech and purpose. He was her everything and so much more. When he disappeared it was hard on the compound--- things ran ok for awhile. But now? it felt like it would all fall part any day now. Kat and She could only do so much...
" Mmm, Master meant alot to all of us... he took us in, gave us purpose... He often left for days at a time. It wasn't out of the ordinary, or even strange for him to do that. He was always well armed... so we never worried much. Plus Loupmon and Incineram were both with him... strongest among us. "
She fidgeted with her tail as her emotions took a sharp turn even if it only lasted a moment.
" Aimless... No, there is always something to do. With the Poachers an ever present threat defending the compound, and gathering materials... is never a lack of work per say. But survival for survival's sake... well its motivation enough... but I worry some days i wont be strong enough to keep the poachers at bay forever... "

"Finally, someone who isn't-"
She paused, looking stranger over with an inquisitive gaze before she stated rather bluntly, "Never seen a lizard quite like you before."
"What even are you? Some kind of regional Salazzle?"
The Absol puzzled hard, completely transfixed by the stranger's odd appearance.

" Tee Hee, Oh me? "
She pointed at herself standing at almost 7 feet in height she was quite the imposing figure. Despite the pink, and fluff in places her claws and teeth told a different story. Though she rarely employed them she was capable if things were dire.
" A Salmander what? hehe no! I'm a Loveander! My friends call me Luv for short! though i'm not to particular about what folks use for a name. As long as you aren't being insulting of course! "
Lena smirked brazenly, gesturing to herself with her dark claw, "And you may call me Lena, if it pleases you."
The Absol cringed inwardly, loathing to call herself that. But it was an easier name to use, and to explain than Reclaimer. Especially with... Him- out of the picture. A pleasant, painful lie she had been told. A purpose stolen. If she was to recover, she had to step away from that life, right?
They looked up at the much taller Lovander and asked, "So, what brings you to these parts? Never seen your kind around here, Luv. Exploring?"
Why not start here, with a new face, and a new stranger?
"Ric!" Sal hugs the Marowak.
Excitedly, the alolan marowak hugger Sal, his tail wagging behind him and kicking up dust.
"Oh, hey! New targets- I mean... friends~ Come closer, I won't bite... promise."
She's still working on getting over her bouts of violence...
" Oh--- Mai! going to bite me are you? "
" Careful sweetie i might enjoy it <3 "

A gruff looking absol cocks her head at the sight of the slimey boi, trying to make sense of them, "You are the oddest puddle of goo I have ever seen... I can't quite put my claw on it, but you are giving me some green apple vibes. No, fuji? Golden delicious? Some kind of food. Yet not... What flavor do you think you are?"
-Lena, @rxclaimxr (Sorry fren, had this dumb idea in my head for a while now...)
Slime Boi: Ha! I like you. Your vibes are wild! Let's see...food.
Slime Boi: Now the question is, why were you asking me about my flavour? Are you planning on eating me? At least let me change my vibes first to be more edible. Perhaps I'll need to find a plate for you. Maybe some garnish.
"Haha! My apologies for the incessent probing in advance..."
It was short, but at the end of the day she couldn't help but laugh at thier jest. It was the first that someone had not only humored her dark questions, but took it a step further. In all her recent travels, this one is surely worth keeping an eye on.
"Fret not, golden one. I have not felt the urge to devour one such as yourself in years. Besides, you don't have enough meat on your bones."
A pause followed, as a thought occurred to her, "Do... do your kind even have bones?"
She probably should leave them be for the time being and come back later, but her curiosity was overridding her rational thinking as she took a seat. To her knowledge, goomys were a little bit on the gummy side, but she doesn't know just how much of them is actually solid.
Are they as amorphous as a ditto or grimer? Or is there any structure at all holding them together? How could one possibly pass up this opportunity to ask the hard hitting questions right from the source?
"What the heck is that thing, and why is it so... Slimey?"
