Socialism...
If I hear the "Socialism doesn't work" line one more time I'm going to stuff a copy of "Wealth of Nations down someone's throat. Or at least make them read it.
When did America become the land of the dumb and repetitious rather than the educated, leaders of a free society with healthy social discourse and dissent. Whoever you are voting for you have a duty to yourself, to the rest of us and to our children to educate yourself, from primary sources (neither huff post nor Fox news counts) and learn the facts.
MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND or be a slave forever.
What is it about this song?

One of my favourite collaborations...
I get by with a little help...
Prompt.ly is pleased to announce our emergence from BETA and the commercial release of Prompt.ly, with both versions now live in the app stores today!
I gave Robert Scoble a quick preview of Prompt.ly which was very successful w/7k+ views and we are working on some other press appearances as well, including an appearance at the BIA Kelsey NOW Conference today.
Now to your part - PLEASE SHARE Prompt.ly with the Solopreneurs in your life using the links below and help to simplify their life and yours! A Solopreneur is anyone who runs their own company and sells services (housekeepers, tutors, golf instructors, swim teachers, graphic designers, personal trainers, dog walkers, masseuses, therapists, landscapers, housekeepers, photographer, and even tattoo artists - anyone who sells time by the hour or by the session!).

Lastly, download the application yourself and use Prompt.ly to book an appointment “as a client” with the Solopreneurs in your life and then pay them when the session is complete using a credit card. No more checkbook! (I used it with my housekeeper and my daughter’s violin and drum teachers and threw my checkbook in the rubbish afterwards!)

Love this artist...
Sad news dragged me home from the playa early this year...
For those of you worrying about my sudden departure from the playa a bit early - please don't. However, here is the story:
Saturday a.m. after an amazing night with Yuan Zhang Nadia Di Gregorio and Molly Maloof I biked back to my RV for a pee & a quick costume change.
As I sat there I realized I was missing my girlfriend Kameron Gad Far too much and decided to bike to the airport to check on a flight out sunday a.m. to go see her in NYC. - and possibly call her from the cell service that seems to work there.
However, when i arrived at the airport I received a message (before I could call) that brought tears to my eyes from my ex-wife Tavin.
Darwin, our puppy who we'd adopted 2 weeks after his birth & 2 weeks before 9/11 had passed the night before. she'd been trying to reach me the entire time I was at burning man.
I instantly dialed her number to reach her & my children - who were all mournfully silent - until Zoe, my youngest daughter began crying and said "Daddy can you come home please?"
Of course, I booked the 1st flight home then. Left a note for my RV-mate and flew back to be with my children and grieve.
I've pasted this eulogy which Tavin wrote.
Darwin "was taken to Emergency last night. The girls and Tavin had the opportunity to be with him and say goodbye before he drifted away. We have had Darwin since he was 1 week old when we rescued him with his Mother, “Moondaka”
Darwin was here when the girls came into the world, and the girls were with him when he left. Thank you all for the love, pets, ear scratches, walks, ball throws, hikes, treats and friendship you have shared with Darwin over the years."
'Bout perfect I'd say, except that... Darwin was a survivor. The runt of the last litter his mother (Moondaka, full blooded rottweiler) had, before she chewed her way through the rope she was tied to at the puppy mill and fled - carrying only him. He was an amazing dog, and was one of the only three things I still share with my Ex. (the other two being my girls. ) - I'm really feeling this loss.
I asked someone to post his picture in the temple tonight - and I am sorry to miss its burn - but rest assured I'll return to see you all in the desert again...
Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust
"Nake nula wauŋ welo!" - misunderstood as "today is a good day to die…" - Actually this Sioux war cry is grossly misunderstood - it means literally "I am ready for whatever may come." It is optimism in the face if overwhelming pessimism or odds - a zen sense of acceptance of fate without...

If we can get the Internet’s most popular websites and apps to step up security, the NSA is in serious trouble. Especially if we can get them to add end-to-end encryption.
We’ve got to start somewhere. Here’s a list of tweets with a a few things major companies should totally do as soon as they can to protect our privacy. Who knows? To limit the damage the NSA has done to their reputations, they might listen.

As a startup, your goal is -- or at least should be -- to try to do things that no one has ever done before. You are working to disrupt markets with the goal of making life better in some capacity for your target audience. Inevitably, mistakes will be made and -- forgive me, but -- you will fail. This may sound disheartening, however, failing is not only part of being a startup, but also an integral part of learning. What is important, therefore, is to make sure that your entire company understands and internalizes that startups are indeed meant to be difficult.
Longfellow
One of my favorites which I'd forgotten The Day is Done BY HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW The day is done, and the darkness Falls from the wings of Night, As a feather is wafted downward From an eagle in his flight. I see the lights of the village Gleam through the rain and the mist, And a feeling of sadness comes o'er me That my soul cannot resist: A feeling of sadness and longing, That is not akin to pain, And resembles sorrow only As the mist resembles the rain. Come, read to me some poem, Some simple and heartfelt lay, That shall soothe this restless feeling, And banish the thoughts of day. Not from the grand old masters, Not from the bards sublime, Whose distant footsteps echo Through the corridors of Time. For, like strains of martial music, Their mighty thoughts suggest Life's endless toil and endeavor; And to-night I long for rest. Read from some humbler poet, Whose songs gushed from his heart, As showers from the clouds of summer, Or tears from the eyelids start; Who, through long days of labor, And nights devoid of ease, Still heard in his soul the music Of wonderful melodies. Such songs have power to quiet The restless pulse of care, And come like the benediction That follows after prayer. Then read from the treasured volume The poem of thy choice, And lend to the rhyme of the poet The beauty of thy voice. And the night shall be filled with music, And the cares, that infest the day, Shall fold their tents, like the Arabs, And as silently steal away.
Peace
