     Yo, you people! this blog haven’t been here for a long while, actually,        just a bit more than a month, and i’ve reached +300 followers! How absolutely        insane is that? And, since my life is a bit of a mess right now and a giveaway is        an impossibility, the only thing i can do to thank you guys for all of it, is to make        a thousand follow forevers and promos because loving on people is what i do        best.                      Adjusting his cuffs, the Doctor checked himself over in the                 reflection of a mirrored surface on the console, licking his                 hand as he slicked his fringe. ❝---River!❞ He called out,                 spinning on his heel. Wait..Where was his hat? Rounding the                 console, he ducked under and around, hands on his hips as he                 rocked in place. Hm.. Nowhere to be found. Squinting, he thought                 over it, beginning to stalk towards the corridor to get to the wardrobe                 before his wife appeared in the doorway, the Doctor taking a step back.

                Surprised eyes scanned her up and down, the Time Lord's shock                 being replaced by a playful smirk. ❝Ah, there you are! You look...❞                 Raising his brows, he spun to the console, beginning to press buttons                 and levers as she took off, ❝Dinner party at the famous Chateau de Noir                 on the second biggest asteroid in the universe. Owned by the pioneer of                 teleportation platforms! Well--❞ He paused, tossing his head, ❝Not that                 he'll be there. It was sold ages ago and is now used for important parties                 for the rich and famous like so. But it's elegant and it's ceilings look infinite!                 You can't even see them. Upon looking up in any room inside the house,                 it's all a night sky. Quite romantic. And the Hors d'oeuvre aren't that bad                 either. It's got a very...thirties type feel.❞ The TARDIS made a noise to                 indicate she had landed, the Doctor practically skipping to the door as                 he held out his arm, 

                                                                ❝Shall we?❞

There is such a thing as getting used to his antics            and truly, she is.   Far from used to it,   she is near dependent on his            behaving the way she knows him to in order to   predict   what step            he’ll fall into next. Though used to his    eccentricities   and oddities            alike she is,      not once     does it take away from the amusement it            inspires and the curiosity that his    excitement   sparks in an all too            willing heart.

                   The look she fixates at him is one pointed, though never sharp            or meant to pierce. It is meant to chastise,           a look meant as a            reminder for him to breathe and perhaps   calm down some.    He’s            going on and on  with terminologies that are above and beyond her            pay grade and all they merit are    rounded bright brown eyes   that            dilate at the prospect of whatever the hell      a quadruple cycle on            cyclodryne nine meant;  if it had a man who has seen the birth and            death of    worlds and universes   jumping up and down with delight            then surely, surely              it had to be good. That much of him she            still trusts to be true.

                            And yet of his declarations, there is something that ticks            at her the wrong way and merits enquiry.       Brows furrow and she            tilts her head as she looks up at him, eyelids   narrowing   almost to            the point of her nearly squinting. She crosses her arms.

                   ❝                            Doctor, why’re you counting down ?    ❞

                           His gleeful demeanor diminished, the Doctor's                         shoulder's dropping as he huffed. Really? Was he                         not being that clear? 

                                  ❝—-We've already covered this!                                           No time to dwell, doddle or toddle. ❞

                       Rushing to the TARDIS door, he held it open,                     flipping his wrist to motion her in,   

                 ❝Quickly, quickly, quickly! Ten seconds to see                      the quadruple rainbow. Last chance--ever! It'll be                      magical, it'll be colorful, it'll be--well, a rainbow. Times four.❞

         “Hey, pretty boy—             you lookin’ lonely.             Come here.                         Let me fix that                         for you, baby.”

   Gently, her fingertips grazed along his jawline, along the stubble, down over the cool flesh of his neck to the collar of his shirt. She smoothed it out for him, refolding it, her touch intimate and caressing.

         “I can fix those sad eyes          right up for you.                   Give us a smile, baby.”

His brows were downcast in confusion a the sudden attention from the woman, the Doctor practically flinging back from her touch, adjusting his bow tie promptly. Looking her up and down, he cleared his throat, playing back what she just said. Oh. Well if she just wanted a smile.

 ❝--Alright.❞

There. That was easy. And should have settled her down a bit. About to be on his way, the Doctor froze, a finger rising as his brows downcast, lips pressed tight, 

❝--Short trousers. Short trousers in the middle             of  an early spring. An early spring in--❞

He looked around, tossing his head slowly,

 ❝Wales! Sixteen eighty?❞

the Doctor scrunched his nose, beginning to circle her slowly, 

❝....How did you get here?❞

           She flinched when he poked her nose, eyes narrowing afterwards. See,            that’s the thing about the Doctor. You show him that he’s not a monster,            despite having hurt and lied to so many people ( but it’s not like normal,            average humans don’t do so too ) and he’d change the subject.

                                ❛ Why ? Why d’you always do this ? ❜                                  ❛ Why d’you never open up t’ me ? ❜

                 Her sudden change of mood surprised him.                And the attacking questions. Hovering a step                back, the Doctor looked at her with wide eyes,                absolutely speechless. It was no secret the                Doctor was a private person. But she deserved                better. She did. Sputtering for a moment, his eyelids                fluttered, the Time Lord finally settling with exhaling                and hanging his head.

                           How was he to approach this?

                 Shrugging, he lifted his hands before folding                 them together, rubbing them nervously as he                 shook his head, fringe swooping left to right,

                                     ❝Amy---❞

                 He began slowly, lips pressing together as he                   tried his best to continue on, a breathy chuckle                   escaping him,

                              ❝The truth?                       -------------Because I'm weak.❞

                    He smiled up at her, deep                 sad green eyes taking her in,

        ❝Opening up to someone, for me---Is like              you---trying to hold your breath for a solid            minute. It-it-it's hard. Something you don't feel                                        like getting good at, pointless.❞

          His arm outreached to the console, a hand on his           hip as he chewed on his cheek. And as to why it's           pointless, he really wished she would realize it on her          own instead of him having to say it out loud. It hurt too much.

          Arms out, the Doctor rushed out of his box,             thumbs pressed against his fingers,

                           ❝---Clara!❞

         He called as he stopped abruptly in front        of her, panting slightly due to his excitement, 

             ❝You, me, about thirty seconds to get                  into the TARDIS. There's a quadruple                   rainbow happening on cyclodryne nine                  and it is just beautiful. Definitely worth                                                      a few pictures.❞  

  He hopped in place, clasping his hands together, 

                      ❝Come on, Clara, twenty                             seconds! Whad'you say? ❞

A forced little smile pressed onto his lips, the Doctor wading awkwardly before his eyes fell on her, poking her nose with his finger as he let out a low hum,  ❝Ahh---Pond. Couldn't exactly do it without my right hand ginge now, could I? Give yourself some credit.❞

A feeling of guilt settling in his stomach. Friends didn't put friends in danger. And he always felt guilty when she said things like that.

     He paused, making a face like he'd       offended her before, pointing his         thumbs behind him,       ❝I've got a spare. I could pop           back in for a sec and grab           it for you if you'd like.           Then we'd really be a team, aye?❞

                            ❝ How do I know… ❞       Clara looked at him, willing       the tears not to fall down       her cheeks.  She was warring       with herself. Halfway between        hitting him so hard he’d fall over       and hugging him forever.                                                            He had lied to her, in a space of                                                           one trip, one tiny adventure, he’d                                                            turned from her protector, her Doctor,                                                           to a stranger, an alien. 

                             ❝–––that you’re not going to leave again? ❞

   The Doctor could only watch the tears fall down     her cheeks as he fiddled with his hands, trying his     best to think of what to say in her fragile state. 

       ❝Clara---❞

  He croaked, mouth opening and closing, but nothing   would come out. He blinked rapidly, not even daring to   look her in the eye. What he did was to protect her.   If she'd gone off with him, she wouldn't have lasted a   single day. But he should have known, that wasn't how   she liked to travel with him.    And the tears staining her face   were because of his actions. Of course he   never wanted her to leave. Never, anything but that.   The Doctor cautiously took a step forward, brows    knitted together, lips pressed into a tight frown after    thinking long and hard about how to deal with this,          ❝Because I promise.❞    Trying his best to give her a hopeful smile.    Although it was hard. Feeling ever so     guilty for making her cry.      ❝Aye?  All of time and space,                you and me---always.                     How does that sound?❞
