If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts.
In the journey of life, there will be many roads to chose and we learn from each path traveled. Celebrate both your successes and failures, as they each provide learning opportunities.
(note there are conflicting sources of the Success quote and I am unclear who should really be credited with this saying; regardless of whether it should be Sir Winston Churchill, a copywriter for Budweiser Beer, George F. Tilton, Sam Rayburn, Joe Paterno, John Wooden, Mike Ditka or Anonymous, it has great meaning... to read more about the quote's attribution history, check out this post)

Great start to the GMIC conference hosted in San Francisco this week!
Honored to be featured this week in Collaborate's Insider Series | Video about responsible meetings and events (interview by Collaborate magazine while speaking at Marketplace 2013).
Many thanks to sponsor Marriott International.
See the latest at Collaborate - the magazine for Corporate Meetings Intelligence.
Great example of 'upcycling' what some may throw away into something useful for others!
Collaborate's 2014 40 Under 40 Honorees
Each year Collaborate meetings magazine pays homage to the rising stars in the meetings and events industry with their 40 Under 40 honorees. I have been privileged to once again help shine a light on some of our industry’s top young professionals and their amazing achievements.
I'm honored to have profiled (in alpha first name order) for 2014:
Erica Backus (11)
Jennifer Gachui (14)
Kristen Dierickx (19)
Shawna McKinley (33)
Whitney Wilson (39)
Congratulations to these incredible event professionals and to each and every one of the 2014 honorees!
See their full profiles and discover why they are some of the ones to watch in the meetings and events industry!
Love this group!
Some of their collaborative initiatives include Earth Dinners during April, in partnership with Organic Valley, where chefs can join in to change their menu "in honor of Earth Day - even if just for a night - and highlight the great sustainable ingredients".
Then there's their "Trash Fish Dinners - Boston, LA, New Hampshire, Florida, and so many more!" as well as their Green Chefs / Blue Ocean program "our free seafood training program for food professionals".
"Chefs Collaborative is the leading nonprofit network of chefs that’s changing the sustainable food landscape using the power of connections, education and responsible buying decisions." They work "with chefs and the greater food community to celebrate local foods and foster a more sustainable food supply."
Check out their website and social media to learn more and see what's going on!
You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth.

Great way to reuse bread tab... one less piece of plastic going to landfill.
