INTERACTIONS, OPEN.
the earth is cold beneath her fingertips, dirt packed under perfectly manicured nails that had, only hours ago, traced the rim of a crystal glass filled with blood. now those same hands dig into soil, trembling with an unfamiliar rawness that burns through every nerve ending. kaira awakens to find herself somewhere she never thought she'd be — on her knees in the woods, surrounded by her torn designer clothes and the metallic taste of real blood in her mouth. her blood. her pain.
the thought echoes through her mind like a twisted lullaby as she tries to piece together the fragments of the night before. gone is the calculated grace of a predator, replaced by something W I L D, something untamed that claws at her insides and howls for release. her perfectly controlled world has shattered, leaving her vulnerable in ways she hasn't felt since she was human. but this isn't humanity — this is something far more PRIMAL.
the morning sun warms her skin. her heightened senses have shifted into something more instinctual. she can smell EVERYTHING — earth, decay, life itself — but it's different now. R A W. overwhelming. the forest calls to her not as hunting grounds, but as home, and that terrifies her more than any sunrise ever could.
power had always been her currency, control her armor. now both have been stripped away, replaced by a force that surges through her veins with each racing heartbeat — yes, heartbeat, the rhythm she'd forgotten for so long now pounds in her ears like a war drum. she is no longer the predator who stalks the night. she has become something else: a creature bound to the moon, tethered to instincts she can't control.
the worst part isn't the loss of her vampire strength or the newfound vulnerability. it's the undeniable pull she feels toward the other wolves, a desperate need for pack that threatens everything she's built. for the first time in centuries, kaira finds herself crying not from physical pain, but from well, she can't even placd the feelings.
she doesn't belong here, in this wild place, in this wild body. but she doesn't belong anywhere else anymore either.
