“I dunno what the big deal about misteltoes are,” Hyungseo said, shrugging as he tugged the scarf tighter around himself. “Whenever I end up under one the other person is either my brother or they sneak away, does anyone ever actually get that kiss everyone is promised? Does it actually happen? Is it just a myth, a conspiracy?”

A genuine smile spread across her lips as she adjusted her beanie just the slightest bit to cover her ears. “Well, it’s a really sweet Norse theory actually. And it’s been around for years so people probably didn’t bother to get rid of that tradition.” The thought of him always standing under the mistletoe with his brother amused her almost as much as the thought of somebody sneaking away. “Hmm, alright then. If you go to the ice rink with me and make sure to hang a mistletoe above your door, I promise you’ll get that Mistletoe kiss you’ve been waiting for. Alright?”

Gathering a good amount of snow in her hands, Holly didn’t hesitate throwing it at her friend who was patiently waiting for her. She loved this time of the year where she could spend time with her loved ones, go Christmas shopping with her friends and  the happiness all around. A genuine chuckle erupted from her at the sight of her friend’s face, now full of snow. “I’m sorry. I just couldn’t resist.”

Jimin did tend to talk in his sleep, he knew that much, but it’s been years since he last said anything while he slept. Unfortunately, things he said in his sleep would revolve around his nightmares about his father and him asking to stop punching him like the young boy did when he was a child. Yet, he tried his best to not seem suspicious about his own thoughts and instead just arched a skeptic eyebrow. “Oh really? What did I say?”

With her arms wrapped around her knees that were drawn up to her body, Ahyoung lifted her chin up to look at the other. A weak nod was all she could muster as she barely found the power to do anything herself. Usually, she wouldn’t even get as far as let her friend ask but just get up, ask the other whether they’d like some or not and subsequently get going to prepare a snack or a drink or the likes. Yet, today was different. It’s been days since she’s slept through a whole night. Whether she’d wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares without falling back asleep again in fear of seeing it all again or not being able to fall asleep at all. Every night something different happened and every night it felt as real as her mundane life. She was really thankful for her friend being with her, really. With her brother now living by himself and her parents never really being home, the huge mansion was now home to only her and a couple of staff. Yet, Ahyoung had never been the kind of person to bother the latter if she didn’t have to. They deserved their rest as well. “Could you…” with a barely audible sigh, she rested her chin upon her legs once more, diverting her gaze from her friend in the progress “…make me some tea? Green?”
