I know after CO folks would gleefully ask about how Agatha felt about Simon and Baz dating, and I really liked how it was handled in the books cause it was really realistic and respectful. So to get some revenge for my girl I want to know how Baz and Simon react to Agatha and Niamh dating?

Hey, yeah, I think it was the *glee* that made me wary. Like Agatha deserved a comeuppance for having kept Baz and Simon apart. (Which of course she didn’t do.) (Honestly I think this came out of a lot of old misplaced Ginny Weasely resentment.)

I’m glad you liked how it went down in the books, thank you.

As for Baz and Simon?

I think Simon will be confused about Agatha for a long time. And that they may never have a fully relaxed friendship. But he’s happy that she seems happy. He likes Niamh from a comfortable distance. She’s a little harsh for him — and he’s realizing that maybe Agatha was always a bit harsher than he realized. He likes that Agatha has someone. It eases his guilt.

Baz will never stop feeling jealous around Agatha. No matter how many times Simon tells him — or he tells himself — that he shouldn’t. She brings up old feelings. Of being the bad guy, of Simon being destined for someone else. Agatha is so beautiful … it’s hard for Baz.

Baz is very happy that Agatha is all loved up with Niamh. (He never saw that coming.) He doesn’t especially want to be around them. If he wanted to talk about magickal livestock, he’d spend the weekend with his father. But he appreciates Niamh’s no-nonsense politics (much more reasonable than Bunce’s). When she runs for the Coven, she’s got his vote.

Was that true love? Was it attraction?

Those relationships are important, in their way, but they don’t really determine who you’re going to be or what sort of relationships you’ll have as an adult.

And the way you acted in those situations doesn’t necessarily correspond to how you’ll act later.
