Bane and I set out from our hometown into the wilderness. This where I my lineage became apparently clear apparently my mother had coupled with a Torkoal to create me or had broken my legs as a child so I wouldn't leave her like my absent father did. I spent what seemed like forever traveling along Route 29 to Cherrygrove City. Upon arriving I met a nice old man that gave me a tour, and somehow was running, I started to wonder if he was in fact really and old man or some punk kid making fun my walking. After the tour he gave me what he said were a pair of his old running shoes, but then recanted and said they were a brand new pair, though the smell would have me believe otherwise. At least now I could run, I sought out the closest Pokemon Center and PokeMart. I was shocked to find that the PokeMart was out of PokeBalls one the staples of an up and coming Pokemon trainer. I told the clerk I wished to file a complaint with her supervisor but was simply brushed off by having her and her associate just tell me the same thing over and over again. Enraged but mostly saddened I made my way to the Pokemon Center and met a very nice nurse named I believe Joy. She restored my Totodile and saw me on my merry way. I tried to recall what Professor Elm had said about finding Mr. Pokemon's house, and travelled north battling my way through the high grass to reach a house I believed to belong to Mr Pokemon. As it turned out it was not his house, but the nice chap inside gave me Apricorn Box to collect apricorns in. Apricorns grow on special trees and come in assorted colors which are White, Red, Blue, Black, Pink, Green and Yellow. I learned later that before the wonderful invention of Pokeballs people would hollow out apricorns and use these to capture Pokemon. I thanked him for the gift and got directions to Mr. Pokemon's house. I got off the main road and moved further North walking through the tall grass. Bane performed exceptionally well, she was proud of her victories against her wild Pokemon sisters and brothers. We finally reached a house, which I hoped belonged to the fabled Mr. Pokemon. Upon entering I was ecstatic to find out it was the correct house, and see good old Professor Oak. After some pleasantries and getting the Pokemon Egg from Mr. Pokemon, I was again surprised and overwhelmed by having Professor Oak turn to me and ask if I would help him by cataloging Pokemon with his brand new and improved Pokedex! I accepted quickly and thanked him for the privilege, and then turned and left the house to return to Professor Elm.
