It's ridiculously hot down here. I sweated my little tail off making this image for you guys so you'd better appreciate it.

Also, just finished moving house. Computer unpacked, internet connected, SL loaded. All boxes checked.

So I do a fair bit of post-production work to my Second Life photos.

Second Life has some great tools but, like regular world photography, the “straight from camera” look will only get you so far. I use Adobe Photoshop, but you could use any number of image editing programs.

Every photo I produce goes through a process of “dodging and burning” which is basically lighting and darkening, respectively. Part of the photo that is the main focus (usually the face) should be bright. Areas of the photo that are not the focus should be dim (usually the extremities of the frame, the outside bits).

Our eyes seek out bright areas in a photo. Make sure that your subject’s face/throbbing cock has some brightness to it!

In the case above, I brightened the jerk-dog’s eyes and teeth (and the overall face a bit). He is a jerk-dog btw. Don’t send him nudes he will not respect your privacy! fuckin JERK.

I dimmed the edges of the photo, which is commonly called a vignette. But in my case, I don’t like to make a perfectly circular vignette since it can look pretty fake. You gotta be careful with that shit. Seriously.

There’s a few other additions to the picture above, like rain, shadows under the car’s tires, etc.
