“  I  already  said  that  I  don’t  need  your  help.  ”  Yukako  insists  to  the  vaguely  familiar  man  a  second  time,  discontented  with  having  to  repeat  herself  ——  especially  when  what  needed  to  be  restated  was  already  spoken  in  layman  terms.  She  lets  his  name  echo  in  her  mind,  silence  being  her  short  while  virtue  until  the  lightbulb  hanging  several  inches  over  her  crown  came  lighting  up.  With  several  sheets  of  loose  leafs  in  Yukako’s  clutches,  a  step  or  so  was  taken  away  from  the  man  whilst  he  perfected  a  introductory  bow.

“  …You’re  from  TRIGGER,  aren’t  you?  ”

“ OH - RIGHT , ” 

come on ryuu , get it together . it’s in these moments he wished switching into his ON mode happened as naturally as it did on camera , off . it would have been so easier to slip into his persona . smooth , charming , sure in all that he said . but he just feels like ryuu . a simple man of simple pleasures who always got flustered . he nods , awkwardly , before the lightbulb goes on . and her recognition of who he is finally clicks . 

“ yes ! yes i am , ” he says , almost proudly . his whole demeanor changing - with his shoulders rolling back and him standing a bit taller . more sure , more confident . “ you know us ? ”
