A brand-new week, the drums resound,
In unity’s call, our hearts are bound.
From Cape to Cairo, one song, one stand,
Together we rise, rebuilding this land.
No tribe, no border can chain our flame,
We carry one vision, one sacred name.
Africa forward — with strength renewed,
One people, one purpose, one common good.
Who owns the pavements where weary souls sleep?
Who hears the cries from the shadows so deep?
If homes are built empty, while streets overflow,
Why must the shelters be the only place to go?
What value is wealth when the hungry are near?
What worth are our laws if compassion’s unclear?
Shall bricks without mercy still count as a home,
When hearts without shelter are left all alone?
Could gardens of hope grow on land left unused?
Could skills be restored where talents are bruised?
If each hand extended could light just one flame,
Would homelessness vanish, or rise once again?
So tell me, O neighbor, what answer we choose:
To pass by the fallen, or lift up the shoes?
For the measure of cities is not in their height,
But in sheltering souls through the cold of the night.
A new week rises, but not everyone starts at the same line.
Some begin with coffee and calendars,
others with cold pavements and empty pockets.
Homelessness is not laziness,
it is life interrupted, dignity tested,
a constant Monday with no weekend to rest from.
So today, as you step into your week,
remember those whose homes are not houses,
whose hope must be rebuilt daily.
If you carry abundance, share it.
If you carry compassion, show it.
Because a home is not only walls and roofs—
it is belonging, it is safety, it is care.
Thank you @socialfactory and everyone who got me to 5 reblogs!

🕊️ Legacy in Motion | Homeless Solutions
In the quiet strength of a hospital room,
Lies the heart of a movement that still blooms.
Mr. Danie Horn, our founder, our guide,
Now resting, while we carry the flame with pride.
Through every meal, every sheltering bed,
His vision speaks, though words unsaid.
This work—your support, our shared devotion—
Is more than service. It’s a living motion.
Though he heals, we march ahead,
With purpose burning where he once led.
And in your kindness, we find our pace,
Continuing hope in his sacred place.
💛 Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
💛 Thank you for keeping our mission alive.
“Brick by Brick”
They stripped my walls and took my bed,
Left silence where my dreams once bled.
But I refused to lose my ground,
I built my soul from what I found.
A smile from one, a crust of bread,
A memory I thought was dead.
Brick by brick, I lay my claim,
To rise from ashes, not in shame.
"Today, we remember. And rise."
They were only children—
with notebooks in their hands,
and freedom in their hearts.
They marched into history
so we could walk into the future.
📍Soweto. 1976.
The ground shook under the weight of their courage.
The world was forced to look.
And listen.
Today is not just about the past.
It’s about you.
Your voice. Your fight. Your light.
You are the continuation of their dream.
So speak. Build. Heal.
And when the world tries to forget—
remind them:
✨ We are still marching.
✨ We are still rising.
✨ We are the legacy.
Happy Youth Day. 🇿🇦
No compass drawn, no clear way home,
Just calloused feet and streets I roam.
They took the signs, erased the trail,
But still I breathe, I will not fail.
Each wrong turn carved a deeper truth,
That even loss can carry proof—
That when you move, you still exist,
A soul the system can’t dismiss.
