Did you know that leeches were once used to predict storms? Well, a tornado warning just dropped and my squad is climbing

Dear El Paso,
For the love of all that is good and holy...how the fuck do you not understand the concept of sidewalks (or even bike lanes)? What vendetta do you hold against such a glorious construct that doesnt even hav to be concrete, but should not be sand or loose rock either.
I know you know how to plan and implement them because I have seen their existence leading into the mountains and at the eastern fringes of the city.
And yet, they continue to be an illusive construct where they are most needed. And what little semblance of a roadside, pedestrian pathway there are..they meet such abrupt and unforgiving ends. Or, in some cases, are demolished with no after thought.
Sincerely,
Recently moved here pedestrian that has almost ate shit thrice now while biking or long boarding
Instead of endless wastelands of mowed grass lawns, consider:
this only works in places with lots of rain, a temperate summer, and a nice cold winter. like England. or Michigan.
True! Unless you can find an economical way to irrigate, more appropriate lawn alternatives in hotter, more arid places might lean more to prairie meadows using local grasses and wildflowers:
Or, they might mean doing classic landscaping, but with rocks and xeriscape plants:
Or having a cactus garden:
There are lots of exciting possibilities once you throw the classic turf lawn out the window!
these are all so beautiful and all I can think is ‘that stone arc isn’t a stargate and I’m sad about it’
