#BlackGirlsRock and I must say we absolutely do. This book is an inspiring collection of Black women rocking and owning their magic. From essays coupled with beautiful photographs of representation of various elements of the culture. Thereās the music, art, literature, sports, and politics. The collective voices are so powerful they scream empowerment and overcoming any obstacles that may have a hold on you. (at Brooklyn, New York)

I had the privilege to get my hands on an advanced copy of this vivid, vibrate, funny witty book. And what a fulfilling ride it was reading it. Heads of the Colored People is collection of short stories full of dark humor, sorrowful situations, and brutal honesty. It explores black culture in an in openly interestingly relish way. New talent, Nafissa Thompson-Spires, explores black identity and the contemporary middle class in this compelling, boundary-pushing anthology. Need something to add to your spring reading list? #HeadsOfTheColoredPeople should be at the top of your list. (at BedfordāStuyvesant, Brooklyn)
Lol. I do this too. (at Brooklyn, New York)
#needsomethingtoread? #UndergroundRailroad is a story that will leave you playing chest in your head long after youāre done reading it. Excellent writing, strong concept. The amount of research it must have took to write this book is unimaginable. I think Iām the only person I know who always states I could never get tired of the slavery narratives. Cora is strong, resilient, brave, and has an unrelenting drive for survival and freedom. She never gives up, even when she witnesses death and horrific atrocities all around her--even after she flees the plantation in Georgia. While I hate using this word as I think itās overrated, but this book was definitely needed for the culture. (at Brooklyn, New York)
