love me a star trek novel that changes my life

I loved it so much. it works so good as the origin story of Saavik, showing us her struggles and victories throughout her life. it broke my heart at times, healed it in others. tender moments with Spock, banter moments with the crew we all love, Spock and Jim being Spock and Jim, and most importantly our beloved star Saavik, her character shining bright. I was so happy to read this, a novel with so much attention to her character. I just wished we had gotten so much more of this. so yes, this is THE Saavik novel for me. I can’t recommend it enough.
