Alex truthfully couldn't imagine a worse place to be. At least the cage of the dome had Sal's and Frank's. He didn't want to push Sabrina too much though. Being faced with an inquisition as soon as she landed could hardly be on the top of her wishlist. It was the Institute way though - but hey, it could be above his paygrade. "That's right," he warmed to her, "and we're in desperate need of some fun."

"Maybe I could help." He offered, hoping he wouldn't regret it later. "I-," he had to choose his words carefully, "I knew the them, somewhat. That Institute is gone now." The existence of the Institute 2.0 was hardly a secret amongst Havensdale inhabitants. She'd find out sooner or later, and he might as well try to paint them in the good light they mostly deserved. "There's a new operation. A different one. A part of what some refer to as the Resistance. They're good." He conveniently substituted 'we' for 'they', feeling like maybe admitting his part in it right now might now be the best idea considering where she'd been for the past decades. "Do you, I dunno, want to get a drink? I think that's where we left off all that time ago."

Sabrina didn't enjoy reliving her experiences with the Institute. Being a vampire had always been fun for her before the last few decades, and she wanted to feel that way again. Maybe running into Alex was fate trying to help her with that. "I am sure you are, darling." She looked around the town. "This place's vibe is down."

"I am sure you could." Sabrina appreciated it. She wasn't exactly sure she could trust Alex, they had only known each other briefly. She listened to him talk about some new form of the Institute. Not much of what he was saying was making sense. A lot had happened in this town over the years that much was clear, and she wasn't going to react until she knew more. "All I would say is be careful, especially if anyone from the Institute is involved they are great liars." She smiled at the offer. "I believe you are right. I can buy the first round since I stood you up."

"Me too, Sabrina. Yes, I really do believe it is... It took me quite some time to realise that, truth be told. If I could go back, you know that I would never have let us part as we did. I know they're just words but I just hope you know how much I thought of you over the years. I have missed you so," Clary sighed, reaching out to take Sabrina's hands in her own. She could tell her that again and again until another century had passed. "Ah, that doesn't surprise me. Even with the dome now, Havensdale has always been something of a beacon to the supernatural. We are currently living in an experiment, I would say. There's an Original vampire, werewolf and warlock all working together to some end. We're trapped in here, more or less, but you may come to notice it's not normal here. We, us supernaturals, can't be killed. At least, not by the usual means."

"It was forgotten a long time ago. Please do not think about it anymore, we've both been through worse in our years. I have missed you as well, but now we can do anything we want. You know, besides stepping outside the border." Sabrina held onto Clary's hand, it was ironic to run into Clary of old people. She hadn't understood Clary when they met. Now, after her time at the Institute, she understood her better. "It has part of why I only ever visited before. Working together? I am surprised they can co-operate long enough to get anything done. Oh? I am assuming the original warlock has something to do with that." That was a complication that she didn't need. "So, a town full of supernatural beings that can't die normally. Sounds like a powder keg."

Paul looked away at her words, he wasn't immune to the shame that his past associations brought him. "I know that and for what it's worth, I am sorry for what happened to you and the part I played in it. There was a lot going on back then that we turned a blind eye to. I figure since you're out, you at least knew it fell. And my old boss? Dead." Paul huffed a laugh then. "It would be deeply frowned upon," he explained.

Nodding, he opened the door for her and led them both to the bar. Paul took a seat on one of the stools at the far end, gesturing to the bartender for her tequila. On second thought, he made that two. "Well, this much might be obvious but you picked a pretty complicated time to take your revenge. Once you come through the barrier, you tend not to get back out."

Sabrina was sure that Paul meant it, she had already said she wouldn't kill him right now. There wasn't much of a reason to lie right now. But the apology didn't mean too much. "I lived. Sorry doesn't do much. But helping me and being honest is a good way to start showing how sorry you are. That's too bad. I was looking forward to handling that myself." She shrugged plenty of others she had more interest in attacking. "I will keep my hands to myself, promise."

She looked around the bar, sensing other supernatural beings around them. She had heard how many were in town, experiencing it in person was much different. "I have heard, but no matter. Might make things easier, there's nowhere for anyone to hide or run to. I mean, Havensdale isn't that big."

"I am so proud of you," Amara smiled, a dramatic hand over her heart at Sabrina's words. That was her girl. When they had met so many years ago, Amara had seen her potential shining through her like a supernova on the brink of explosion. No one was going to stand in her way - certainly no man. "I mean, the dedication alone but I'm almost afraid to ask what their crime was? You don't have to tell me, at least not right away. I'm happy to help you either way. Oh, the one thing they're reliable for. Thank you, sweetheart. I like to think there isn't anything I can't handle, but I may need some back up. What are you doing now? Do you want a drink?"

Sabrina knew how lucky she had gotten when they met, their paths crossing was destiny. She was never meant for the life her mother had tried to force on her. Being a vampire had suited her perfectly since the day Amara had turned her. "I can clue you in later, I don't want any ears to pick up on things." There wasn't much that she wouldn't do for Amara. She had loyalty to her that went beyond most other people in the world. "If you do, I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. But I will need you to pay to get my nails fixed. Always interested in a drink, lead the way."

"Oh, sorry. I'm totally on another planet right now... Please, sit down. Are you-...," she started, brow furrowing- "Oh my gosh, are you new?"

"No worries, I am sure it wasn't on purpose." Sabrina nodded, moving to take the seat. "I am new. Well, to Havensdale, at least. Sabrina."

[interview-with-the-dave]

"Not so much," he added. A slight smile tugged at his lips at her answer, turning more to face her. "Well, that much we can do. I'm Dave-," he started with a little two finger salute- "Not a good guy, not a bad guy. Definitely not here to dance."

Sabrina had definitely picked up on the vibe in town. She could feel the fun being leached out of her by the day. "Nice to meet you, Dave." She smiled at the man. "I'm Sabrina, and I am definitely interested in dancing. Not a dancer then?"

"Oh, totally! I swear, Havensdale used to be so normal. Right, of course you don't. No, no, don't worry. You're basically completely safe during the day, it's just like, at night things can get hairy if you're outside. For humans, anyways. Like me. You get on way better if you have like, teeth or claws, or wings." Faye listened to her intently, pressing a hand over her heart at her answer. She could only imagine what it was like to have traveled the world! Like, really traveled. Not just New Haven or the Hamptons. "That's so cool. I think I'd give anything at this point to go anywhere else but here. Oh! My grandma, Esmé, lives in France. Yeah, I've lived here all my life."

"It did have a little more charm the last time I was in town. Gotcha, so the humans stay inside while everyone else gets to go outside and have their fun. Sounds a little unfair to the humans, I would say. I can handle my own, you don't need to worry. I am small but mighty." Sabrina had done so many things in her immortal life, stuff she couldn't imagine when she was human. Traveling had been one of the first things she had learned she loved after turning. "I bet with the dome, it would be nice to get anywhere else. France is beautiful, especially during the summer if you ever get the chance." She knew Esmé, at least about her. She had kept good records of her family until she had been captured; anyone born after was unknown to her.

"Oh, that is so true! If you're not exercising your right to indulge in a little psychological torment, then what are you doing? I've no doubt that they will thoroughly deserve what's coming to them. You must let me know if you need anything to help you along." Amara placed a dramatic hand on her heart as she said, looking fondly over at Sabrina. How proud she was of her, still, after all these years. "A wise woman. Often it's better to tear out throats and ask questions later when it comes to men, too. You know me, my love. I'm flexible no matter what."

"Not doing it right, I mean, death and violence are so easy. The real key to proper revenge is hitting someone where it hurts. They do. I am not one for chasing, but this is a special case. I am sure I can think of something for you to help with." Sabrina was who she was thanks to Amara in so many ways. It had been a few decades since their last encounter. But they were right back to where they had been before. "Very wise. Almost always in my experience before they can open their mouths. I do. If you need any help with your situation, let me know."

"You have no idea what that means to me...," Clary sighed, her palm pressed over her long dead heart. There had been no time to make amends, before. All she had was revenge, it consumed her so totally that there was no room for anything else. Not even Sabrina. She had never looked back for her because she's truly believed that after she had destroyed her maker, she would meet her own end. Thankfully, instead, she had this second chance. "That is quite unfortunate. Not for me, of course, I'm too glad to see you. Is there anything I can do to help you? Anything at all."

"I am just happy we are both still alive and are here now. That's the most important thing, isn't it?" Sabrina smiled at Clary. She had tried not to think about Clary too often over the years. But she couldn't help herself sometimes; it was a regret that she had lived with for many decades. Seeing her now felt like a second chance and maybe a joke, considering how much revenge had filled her thoughts. "It could be worse. I am running into a lot of old friends somehow. I would love a rundown of this place; things seem tense."

"If it helps, they aren't my friends anymore. They never really were to begin with, to be honest." After all, Paul did have to fake his own death to get away from the original Institute (1.0, as it was now known). Not that it changed anything that had happened. Paul had still been on the team that had locked her up. "Well, that's a comfort. Sounds like a fair trade to me. First things first, neutral ground around here is called 'Franks' Bar'." Paul gestured across the road, moving carefully and never taking his eye off her. "What's your poison?"

"Those kinds of people aren't ever anyone's friends, you know, the kind that can torture innocent people on a whim." Sabrina didn't care that Paul wasn't with them anymore; he had still worked with them, and it wasn't something that you just got over. "Glad to see you can see a good deal. So I can't attack you there?" She smiled at him. She walked across the stress, keeping an eye on him. "Tequila."

Will had been watching her from a distance for a while. Newly turned vampires weren't exactly uncommon around here, but actual new-to-town vampires? Almost unheard of. He had been trying to figure out what side she was on–maybe if she knew anyone in town–but he wasn't the oldest of vampires and he certainly didn't have as many connections as Piper, so he wasn't very successful. On top of that, he had never been very patient. "You lost?" He asked, finally stepping out of the shadows. "You know there's better holiday destinations than Havensdale Valley?"

Sabrina had expected attention; this town had been locked away, so a new face, especially one like hers, she was bound to draw attention. "Do I look lost?" She had been a little, if she was honest, it had been a few decades since she had been to Havensdale. "I would think so, I mean, the dome blocking entrance isn't welcoming."

Elena was staring–of course, she was staring! This woman looked like her grandmother! Obviously not as she was now, but she had seen enough photos of her as a young woman to recognise when someone looked like her. A mere three years ago, she might have been inclined to brush it off as a coincidence, but in a world of magic and sisters that are shapeshifters, how could this be normal? "Who are you?" She demanded, long past feeling the obligation for niceties.

Sabrina was surprised by this girl; she had encountered a lot of humans, but not many were this up front. "You don't beat around the bush. I hope you aren't this town's welcoming party." She shook her head a bit, smiling at the other woman. "My name is Sabrina, and who are you?"

"Nothing ever is," he countered, raising a brow in her direction. New faces weren't exactly a daily occurrence around here. "A little bit of both, I think. I don't think I remember what 'fun' is, to be honest. How about you? What's a gal like you doin' in the place like this?"

Sabrina shrugged at his comment. She definitely got that. "Sounds like this town doesn't have too much fun in it." She wasn't in town for fun, but she wanted to blend in and get a lay of the land. "Trying to get acquainted, plus I need a drink."

"... Oh! I am so sorry, I was totally zoned out. What did you say?" @havensdalestarters

"I was just asking if this spot was taken? I need somewhere to sit."

"Oh, totally. We're not exactly winning any awards for tourism right now," she joked. Faye couldn't help staring at her, still. The resemblance she had to her grandmother, Esmé DeLisle, was just uncanny. But weirder things had happened, right? Especially in Havensdale. "Huh? Oh, no. I mean... well, being scared of the dark does go hand-in-hand with the whole curfew thing here so I guess so. Monsters tend to come out at night. It's so nice to meet you, Sabrina! I- Where are you from?"

"No, probably not anymore. Still a nice town, the whole barrier trapping us all here is a negative mark for sure." Sabrina smiled at Faye; the girl reminded her of one of her sisters. "Sorry, I don't know about a curfew, still getting familiar with everything. Am I supposed to be inside right now?" She nodded her head. "You too, Faye. All over, I have traveled the world. But I am from Bordeaux, France. Is Havensdale your home?"
