Late evening approach in spain.
Snow impressions of the alps, going north to south. Beautiful shot of the insbruck valley, and its northern entrance. Airport nicely visible.
Burning sky over barcelona, spain.
Holding over the irish sea on early morning, enjoying the rainbow below us. Perhaps there was a unicorn in the clouds above farting?
The “lorelei” along the rhine valley west of Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Mainz
Approaching Mykonos at sunset. Beautiful island!
Another pass over the insbruck valley.
Cloud reflections in the bay of biscay (french: “golf de gascogne”) on a clear autumn day
Poor birdie!
A visit to Corfu. The old, slightly pompeous terminal building and the way of “securing” the blast area with a police car on departure (there is a traffic road directly behind the lineup on Rwy 17) is particularly interesting.
Barcelona, seen along the coastline in the morning.
St Elmo’s fire playing on the windshield in about FL150 about a dissipating cumulonimbus cloud at night. Notice how it originates often from or near the same point in the middle window spar, and the reflection in the inner window pane you see as a kind of “double picture” in some of the shots. ISO1600 with 1/2 sec exposure.
Adressed to the ones who never seen this: it is an safe, but beautiful discharge of static electricity on the windshield by friction of the airflow like with the old “magic balls” (where they called this? I do not remember).
Cloudlayer over Dublin in 2000ft (SCT020CB the atis)
Pink CBs developing over italy in a hot period in the evening, sun already setting - you can see the developing earth shadow in the right part of the picture
A USAF C-17 Globemaster parked on the taxiway in Athens, greece
CBs developing over Alicante, spain, in the evening sun
Ridgelines and rough terrain in the atlas mountains.
