An Introduction to Sacrilegious

DISCLAIMER: Sacrilegious is a project intended for 18+ audiences. Creator is in her 20’s.

SACRILEGIOUS is an original project. This blog is to document the storyline, characters, lore, and overall creation of Sacrilegious. Nothing lore related or story related posted here will be exclusive to the blog as the game will also share the same information. :)

The story centres around main character Lorelei Catacombs, a young woman who inherits the Catacombs estate following her mother’s death. Mother Catacombs was heavily owed, and as a result she left Lorelei with crippling debt to pay off on her own. Unfortunately, Lorelei was a high school drop out and does not have the means to find a job that pays enough to help her pick at those debts.

Not a legal job, anyway.

Catacombs has no choice but to turn to illegal services for employment. Sacrilegious explores her experiences working for these agencies, her new life outside of her many jobs, and how her psyche and morals change out of desperation.

i’ll always think of casanova as my most fucked up character. not because he’s an organ harvester or a deranged self-centered cannibal, but because he makes the conscious decision to wear skinny jeans.

the order that i have the characters in at the moment didn't make much sense plot and experience wise. so you'll get to meet your coworkers in a different order :3c

on that note, progress on "star stickers on glass ceilings" (tiffany's) has been postponed. instead, once "indebted" (the exposition) and "obscurity" (the employment agent) are polished, i'll work on "heaven and back" (you can take a guess based on the name :3)

when you’re exploring the websites/forums of black markets you’ll be working for next, there will be an option to buy something off of them :) maybe they’ll unlock some cool secrets in the routes

currently making 3d models for the characters!! really really loving the idea of a low poly first person sacrilegious game but with some of the vn elements like the notebook system and the dialogue box at the bottom. not sure if that boots me out of the visual novel community since amatory will most likely follow suit in formatting but;;; it’s my game idc

a quick tip for game developers; figure out what kind of layout you WANT your game to be before making it public.

third person interaction, first person interaction, visual novel, all that. i’m not sure if i wanna stick with. the visual novel format. yes, it’s easiest and best for story telling, but i can do so much more if i took the third person approach like undertale and faith the unholy trinity or the first person like mouthwashing 😭 game making is hard
