5 Years Gone ☼ Self-Para
Sadie takes a trip and eventually decides to leave Toronto permanently.
With everything that has happened lately, Sadie decided she needed to make a change, she needed to get away. Between Alli's murder and her now being a suspect, to the situation with Bryan and his guys and what she put Esme through, it was all too much for the young girl to handle. Sadie looked at herself in the mirror, knowing that she wasn't wearing her usual type of attire and that was the point. Today was going to be different and she knew that if she wanted it to have a good turn out that she had to prepare everything down to to the last detail. Straightening out her flowery dress and leggings, she slipped into some flats and even curled her hair. She walked out the front door with a duffle bag over her shoulder and headed straight towards the bus stop, luckily for her it was only a block away from her foster home. The bus took her downtown to the train station where she purchased a one-way ticket to Alberta. The ride itself was over 24 hours so she spent most of the trip sleeping and listening to music.
When the train arrived in it's station in Calgary, a sense of nerves immediately struck through Sadie's whole body. Taking a deep breath, she grabbed the first taxi she saw and hopped in, giving the driver an address to follow. He tried to make small talk but she wasn't even paying attention, all she could think about was what was about to happen when the car stopped. And within a matter of minutes, it did just that. Just breathe, Sadie. Just breathe. Handing the driver some cash that she pulled out from her pocket, she walked up the familiar path to the front steps of the house and knocked on the door three times and braced herself for who would end up opening the door. She watched it swung open and as soon as she saw the person in front of her, tears began to fall from her eyes. "Mom," the brunette said softly. "Can I please come home?" And without a reply in return, the woman took her daughter into her arms and squeezed her tightly, not planning on letting go anytime soon.
